The Space
Welcome to your Montana retreat at The Lookout! Vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and rustic-modern touches make this 3-bedroom, 2-bath home the perfect base for your Flathead Lake stay. The open-concept great room features a chef-ready kitchen with an island and stainless steel appliances, a cozy sectional, and a Smart TV.

The living room opens to a private deck with outdoor seating and a gas grill—ideal for morning coffee or sunset drinks. After a day of hiking, boating, or skiing, wind down by the fireplace and enjoy the peaceful forest views.

You’ll find three spacious bedrooms: one king suite with a private bath, a queen room, and a bunk room perfect for kids or extra guests. The home also includes a second full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, a stackable washer and dryer, and access to a two-car garage.

The Neighborhood:
Located on the north shore of Flathead Lake, Somers is a gateway to recreation on and around the lake, including sailing, boating, waterskiing, swimming, fishing, picnicking, and camping. In the mountains nearby, downhill skiing at Blacktail Mountain Ski Area is affordable and family-friendly, while cross-country skiing on Blacktail Mountain offers spectacular views of Flathead Lake and Valley and four mountain ranges. Glacier National Park is about an hour away by car and makes for a fantastic day trip.

We recommend a short drive to Somers Beach State Park, which has a good-sized sandy beach and shallow water for kids to enjoy. You’ll have impressive views of the Swan Mountains here. There’s also an excellent microbrewery, Tamarack Brewing Company, just down the road!

Somers Bay Cafe (1.9 miles) - A local's favorite just a few blocks from Flathead Lake. Enjoy lunch, brunch, or breakfast indoors or outdoors!

Cowboy Up Country Cookin’ (2.9 miles) - Scratch-made Southern comforts, including smoked meats, cornbread, country gravy, and more.

Tamarack Brewing Company (3.7 miles) - Alehouse with in-house brewed beer, pub grub, and a creekside patio.

Getting Around:
Montana is a big state, with thousands of miles of open roads – and there’s no better way to explore it than traveling by road. Car rental services are widely available to get you from the airport to the state’s top attractions and everywhere in between. US-93 is the main road in our immediate vicinity. You can drive all the way around the lake and explore several charming towns along the way.

Traveling between Chicago and Portland/Seattle, the Empire Builder train serves Amtrak stations along Montana's Highline. There are multiple stops near Glacier National Park and several small towns.

No pets, parties, or smoking is allowed in the home. In addition, quiet hours are observed from 10 PM - 8 AM. Any noise violations or complaints from neighbors may result in reservation cancellation and/or a monetary penalty.
