Hotel i Solanas, Punta Ballena

"There was no hot water on the shower, pretty noise, people were playing pool outside, there was a TV screen in the room but no local nor TV channels, it was just to connect to the cell phone. The kitchen facilities were good for a hostel. Parking is on the street "

"The staff was wonderful and good to bounce ideas off of. I was comfortable here and the places is easily walkable to beaches on each side of the city along with plenty of bars and restaurants. I enjoyed Punta del Este more than Montevideo despite being a bit of a history guy and generally liking capital cities. Also, Jose Ignacio is a short trip up the coast and it's absolutely beautiful there."

"The first room was not good (has a bad washroom smell). I asked the front desk for another room. Julio, the attendant at the moment, moved me to a different room, which was in much better condition. The breakfast was included (it was simple, the coffee was good, they didn't offered eggs) Location was great: 1 block from Playa Brava and 2 blocks from Gorlero ave. You get what you paid for. Overall, this hotel is a 2 start hotel in Punta Del Este."

"The room was not big but all right, bathroom very spacious I could not make the TV work, only could see one channel There is some noise during nights from the square outside but its not too bad Breakfast is modest but of good quality"

"No security lock on the balcony door. Hotel staff claimed that none of the balconies were lockable as the neighbourhood was very safe? The breakfast was good and staff very friendly and answered all our questions. The king room is quite small , especially the minute bathroom and there is little room for luggage in the room. Location is everything with a great beach one block away from the hotel and beach chairs and umbrellas provided. Recommended, if you pack very light and are not travelling...

"If you are planning a trip to Punta del Este or Playa Chihuahua this is an excellent choice if you are looking for a warm inviting place to stay whether you are traveling alone or as a couple or with friends. Just like the beautiful stretch of naturist beach the vibe is peaceful and relaxing. The hotel accommodations are perfect and the staff will make every effort to make your stay a memorable one. If you are having any hesitation I would not pass this one up. You won’t be disappointed."
