Rustic Pines – Your Private Hill Retreat

Rustic Pines-2 occupies the ground floor. Whereas Rustic Pines-1 is on the ground floor and Rustic Pines-3 on the first floor. Each unit has a private entrance with no shared spaces, offering complete privacy and a homely feel. Nestled among towering pines, this serene retreat is perfect for anyone seeking to escape the city’s hustle and bustle.

This space is a small labor of love — built by people who simply wanted a cozy escape in the hills and are now opening it up for others to enjoy. It isn’t a commercial hotel, but you’ll be welcomed with fresh mountain air, sunshine, and a lovingly cleaned apartment that feels like a true home away from home.

2. Nature Is Our Neighbour
Being in the hills means sharing space with moths, insects, and the occasional harmless worm. It’s all part of the mountain charm! We recommend keeping doors and windows closed during monsoon and taking the usual precautions you would at home.

3. Monsoon & Mountain Air
The monsoon season brings along moisture and a touch of dampness, which is natural in this environment. We regularly air and sun our linen and mattresses, but if you’d prefer, we’re happy to do it again in your presence. A blower and aroma lamp are provided to keep things fresh and cozy.

4. Power Backup
We do have a power backup system, but during prolonged outages or technical issues from the local power department, we may have to wait it out — as mountain life sometimes demands a little patience.

5. The Final Climb
The approach to the homestay includes a steep final climb — one that rewards you with breathtaking views! If you’re new to the terrain or feel unsure, we’ll gladly guide or assist you until you’re comfortable with it.

6. Water
We use regular mountain water. If you prefer, you’re welcome to boil or bring your own drinking water. Our caretaker can also fetch packaged water on request (chargeable).
