"Our room at the Deri-Down was lovely and comfortable with a large walk-in wardrobe and a modern well equipped en-suite shower room. There was a multi-channel TV, a small fridge with milk, tea/cofffee provided. The landlady was very helpful and allowed my son and his wife to change in our room for the wedding we were all going to. "The room was very comfortable, clean and had wonderful views of the mountains. The bed was lovely and comfortable, and the breakfast was just superb. Although quite a treck around narrow winding lanes to get there...it was definitely worth it. Lovely family-run bed and breakfast...I would highly recommend it. "Very nice staff but the hotel is of extreeme poor standards. The rooms were sort of clean but carpets were very dirty. We had 2 rooms, 1 of standard room-size and 1 smaller than a closet. Breakfast options were small and we got offered just coffee or juice. Not both so we hade to decide. Everything about this hotel itself, the surroundings, the breakfast etc was so bad that se decided to leave the hotel after just 1 night allthough we had prepaid for 2 nights. Only positive to say about this...
"The hotel is in the middle of farmland. Close to sites nearby IF you have a car. Bar and restaurant included as well as spa and training possibilities. We didn’t took advantage of that. We ate in the restaurant and the bar. Unfortunately the mrs’s Steak was all most impossible to cut which was a draw back from a pleasant stay. Got compensated with extra wine. Staff very attentive and service minded. Big rooms with lots of light. "
"We had an amazing place, everything was just perfect. The room was huge, bed very comfortable, hot shower, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, all you need to be happy. The breakfast was delicious. Close distance to the town, Raglan Castle, Puzzlewood, Tintern Abbey and other local attractions. Highly recommended place to stay either for short or longer break. If we ever visit the area again, we'll definitely choose the The Church Farm. "
"A beautiful converted train wagon nestled in the Welsh countryside. Very well put together with most amenities available. Very comfy bed - small but well sized for a intimate break together.
There were just a few things we thought to mention:
1. No WiFi came as a huge surprise. Personally we (and probably most) assumed there would be wifi. We would’ve really appreciated this being explicitly stated.
2. There was practically no communication from the hosts, just an empty email with a pin on...
