"We had a pleasant two-night stay at this classic stone house. The beautiful renovations are mostly complete and very well done. There are expansive patios to enjoy the village and mountain views, though the yard is still wild. The kitchen is generally well equipped. We found the host very friendly and responsive, and provided directions to find and access the place when prompted. Unfortunately the Internet was not available throughout our stay. "The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located right by the beach and has a private beach area for hotel guests. There is also a supermarket about 200 meters away, and Kalamata promenade is only around 10–15 minutes’ walk from the hotel. The swimming pool area was nice and large, but it was very noisy with many children, and the music was played quite loudly. I also noticed that people from outside the hotel were allowed to use the pool, so it did not feel reserved only for hotel guests. The bathroom sink did not drain properly, and there was very little equipment in the room, such as an electric kettle. Also, even as hotel guests, we had to order a minimum of €5 per person to use the hotel’s sunbeds on the beach. Overall, the hotel has a good location, clean and spacious rooms, and a nice pool area, but it could be improved when it comes to noise, room facilities, and guest-only access to the pool."

"I stayed for two nights at Lakonia Hotel in late April 2026 as part of a wider "odyssey" across mainland Greece. The hotel is well located in the centre of town near restaurants and with Ancient Sparta within walking distance. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Street parking was not a problem. Will recommend."
