Skipton High Street was awarded ‘High Street of the Year’ beating London’s Kensington High Street and Portobello Road, and the castle stands proudly at one end.

Justifying its name of ‘The Gateway to the Dales’, Skipton offers easy access to the the limestone Dales of Wharfedale. To the south are the gritstone moors of the South Pennines, to the east is the West Yorkshire conurbation, served by three trains per hours on the route to Leeds, and to the west is the rural Ribble Valley.
