"Very serviceminded staff indeed. Did go the extra mile to assist us. Apparently we were the first Danish guest for some time. Our recommendation is that this should not be the case for the future. Perfectly located between Lissabon and Porto, and it is great to get a feeling for the countryside without too many tourists. Plus a visit to one of the river beaches is always interesting. Ask the hotel for guidance."
"Very lovely place to escape the everyday stress. The staff was very friendly and the spa/wellness area was great. We had a facial and massage treatment. This could have been a bit more professional, but nothing that should make you not visit the place. The breakfast was amazing! "
"Hands down the best stay we’ve had in Portugal. Javier and his staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had the very best time. The amenities were top notch. The food was a perfect mix of something new and some home. The part that needs to be highlighted is how accommodating they were in such short notice with two small children. "In generel, nice staff. Our room however had linning on the bed that was soaking wet, not damp.. wet. Reception promised to send someone, but noone came. We dried the sheets ourselves instead.
Also be aware that the hotel is popular with families with small children, making the pool area crowded, and the noise level in the restaurant unbearable.
Children sneezing in the buffet, and drumming loudly on the table is not a favorite of ours anymore.
We simply expected, a more calm place."

Restaurant was also good with different menus in the evening. Only few staff members were able to speak English, should be almost a must…"
"Rigtig hyggeligt og romantisk palads fra 1800 tallet. Vi boede på værelse 22 i den gamle bygning. Havde booket 2 nætter, men synes det var så hyggeligt at vi valgt 1 nat mere og fik vær 21. Også i den gamle bygning. Værelser i autentisk stil. Lidt slidt her og der men hyggen og indretningen overskygger dette. Super god morgenmad i flotte omgivelser. Dog ikke mange liggestole ved poolen."
