"Set on a working farm in beautiful countryside with far reaching views. The property was lovely & clean & contained everything needed for a relaxing stay. A very comfortable bed, a lovely shower with plenty of hot water & the property was lovely & warm. There was plenty if onsite parking. Whilst we didn’t need to contact the hosts we knew they were close should we have need them. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will certainly return if we visit this area in the...

"This is an absolutely amazing place, filled with style and atmosphere. Hazel is a tremendous host, helped us to book a table at the nearest Pub, and gave us good advice, what to see in the area. Told us also a bit about her exiciting life in the horseworld. The bed and the room are lovely, there is fresh water and milk in the refrigerator. Everything is nice and clean. The breakfast is really good. The garden is lovely. I can´t find anything negative to say about this place. I give it my very...

"The room was small but very well maintained and clean. The breakfast you could not fault, although you had to give your choice on the night before which personally not in favour of. The staff were very attentive, pleasant and efficient. The situation in the middle of the village ideal and parking on site, excellent. No dogs allowed on site which I am in favour of."

"Excellent stay as always.."

"Booked the stay as a present for my parents and they really enjoyed their stay. They noted the food, friendliness and rooms as their highlights and things that made their stay great. The next trip to Penrith will definitely be stayed at the Agricultural Inn."

"Nice hotel just outside Carlisle. We arrived late for only one night. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly."

"Great room, bed, air conditioning and general vibe. Would return happily"

"I was here for work, so slightly different priorities. But I enjoyed breakfast in my room and the whole order the night before set up, which included the time you wished to eat. Breakfast was good. this also meant the room had a table, which in my situation was very useful. Tea and coffee etc could be replenished from hall box. Good quality toiletries. Comfortable bed. Car parking on site, in fact very convenient all round."

"The room was gorgeous and Sue is the kindest person. Lots of attention to detail and the little things that make your stay special. One issue was low water pressure in the shower due to a temperamental electric device that runs the shower head."

"The room was lovely & comfortable. The Evening meal was delicious. The only thing that let us down was the breakfast. It didn’t seem to be freshly cooked and wasn’t very hot & not very well cooked. A shame. If we stay again we will not pay extra for the breakfast."

"Of course the setting is the main attraction. The hotel is is a beautiful, grand, rural home, set by the lake, so its location and views are exceptional. The hotel is a bit quirky and creaky as you would expect but some areas are tired and not as clean as they could be, sadly. The staff were polite and efficent enough but not especially engaging. That said we didnt really need anything, so our interactions were limited"

"Great parking. We didn’t realise when we booked that the pub would shut at 8 pm on the Sunday which was disappointing but they gave us a key to enter the building and to come and go as we wanted. The bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice."
