"This place was great. We stayed here for 1 night before white water rafting the next day. We weren't quite sure if we had the found the right place and called the owner super late. He answerd and gave us instructions on how to find out room. The room was clean, spacious, and warm. The beds were also very comfortable and we enjoyed a great night stay. "This is a beautiful quaint two bedroom apartment attached to the emigration museum and there is only one unit. It's right on the river as it enters the harbour, with great views and a nice deck/ patio as well and only a very short walk to a great restaurant (only one in town).

There are fridges in the rooms as well as coffeemaker and safe. I don’t understand the negative reviews. It was a nice basic facility that doesn’t pretend that it’s some luxury hotel. The room and bathrooms are large. There are even hot tubs you can use. Check in was easy via email. Best value for Iceland"

We emailed the property owners after the first day that one shower was not draining, and the other shower had a showerhead that was coming out of the wall. They communicated back that they were going to send somebody to fix it, but no one came. The last day of our stay, somebody who looked like a property manager, perhaps showed up at our property unannounced and looking around the property...
