Also visit the restaurant close by also run by the family for great food located in a beautiful setting. 15 minute drive to Santa Elena is a good trade off for the peace and quite and authentic Costa Rica experience of this place. "Honestly this place was great. I saw birds roght out my patio window and looked out to the mountains. It was a great value and the owner and his family were very friendly and welcoming. Take the short hike to the top of the property and enjoy an amazing view. This was such a cool place to stay. The room was extremely comfortable."

The room was great - clean, comfortable bed, spacious, great view. Breakfast was delicious. We needed to plan our next move after checkout, and Randall made us drinks while we sat in the restaurant/lobby and planned - and saw a few cool birds right out the window. Plus, we got great hand made bird ornaments that his wife and daughter make...

"This is the most exciting place I’ve stayed. If we hadn’t gone on any trips outside the hotel, I wouldn’t have felt like I missed out om anything: You have your own rainforest trail, hot springs, wild life, chocolate and coffee farm. With out the crowds!"
