In winter and early spring there is an extra charge of 40€ a day for heating.
The space
Montechiaro Wine Estates is a historic stately home where you can still experience the old Chianti lifestyle as it once was, slow and calm just like 300 years ago. A private idyllic retreat for the discerning traveller who wants to leave it all behind and find peace. Here, a 10th generation family still patiently grows organic grapes and olive trees.
The main Villa was built in 1760 and is still inhabited by its original owners, who preserved most of its ancient features whilst modernising the art of welcoming their discerning guests.
The Wine Estate villas are on the same grounds. You will be staying in ancient buildings that were passionately renovated just two years ago, which overlook the enchanting vineyards and rolling Tuscan hills. The historic centre is just a 15-minute drive away. No real rush here. You will take your time to breath the seasons passing by through the wildflowers' scent. You can witness mesmerising sunsets over manicured grass leading to your private pool. The Villa grounds, the orchid gardens, the ancient greenhouse, the vineyards, the cellar and the old oil mill, the original wooden oven, la Signora Beppina and her hen house, everything here is still run in the authentic Chianti way.
The Villa La Capannina can be reserved entirely by groups, families, for that special weekend, or a company retreat. Should you wish to do so, please contact us, otherwise one bedroom for every two guests will be prepared.

All guests have exclusive access to a spacious drawing and dining room with a fireplace, beamed ceilings, library with books and board games, private terrace and pool.

Guest access
Exclusive access to a secluded swimming pool and garden, offering an enchanting vineyard view. Parking facilities are also provided. Additionally, you can request services such as a private chef, wine tastings, horseback riding, in-villa massages, and family photoshoots.

At Montechiaro Wine Estate English, French and Italian are spoken fluently. We well be delighted to organise a German or Spanish welcome for you upon request.
