The Hickory Treehouse

Summary:

Wake up in The Hickory, a modern 1216 sqft. treehouse built by Pete Nelson. Sip coffee at your private covered bar as the sun hits unobstructed mountain peaks. This dog-friendly retreat sleeps up to 10 with 4 queen beds (2 in lofts via ladder, 2 on the main floor, and sleeper sofa) and 2 full bathrooms. Enjoy an equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, and Smart TVs. Minutes from the Smokies, you have resort access to hot tubs, a pizza oven, picnic tables, firepits, and grills. The perfect mountain escape!



The Space:

With a modern cabin feel, this dog-friendly 1179 sqft. treehouse sleeps up to 10. The main floor features 2 bedrooms with comfy queens, a living space with a TV for streaming, 2 full bathrooms with a walk-in shower, and kitchen including a refrigerator, 4-function microwave, dual hot plate, and coffee maker. Equipped with all dining and prep essentials: dishware, cutlery, utensils, a cutting board, and both can and wine openers. Access 2 more queen beds on the lofts via sturdy wooden ladders; we recommend the main floor queen for those with mobility concerns. Both the loft and main floor have heating/air-conditioning. Extra linens, towels, and pillows provided.



Enjoy a covered bar with seating that opens to a porch with unobstructed mountain views. Both spaces are private and filled with outdoor seating .

The Neighborhood:

This treehouse is settled in the trees within a gated community, Norton Creek Resort, only 15 minutes off the Parkway and 5 minutes from the entrance of The Great Smoky Mountains National Park



Getting Around:

Taxi services, Uber, Lyft (+ DoorDash, Uber Eats) are available. Downtown Gatlinburg offers trolley service. There is ample public parking available for driving around the area.



Other Things to Note:

- We do not allow RVs, campers or trailers on-site

- Please be aware that due to potential freezing temperatures in January and February, there's a risk of frozen water pipes.

- Please take note that bears are in the area. We do provide bear safety tips upon arrival.

- As Of September 22, 2025, Sevier County Fire adjusted their laws so that we are no longer able to have private firepits on the decks of each treehouse, only community firepits steps away from your treehouse.

- Rental agreement required upon booking
