Our stay at the Trading Post was magnificent! Morning walks breathing in fresh, mountain air. Coffee and breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake. We sat comfortably on the dock while the kids kayaked, swam, and fished. The water was warm, yet refreshing. Around in landscaping are cozy coves and hideaway nooks to sit and enjoy the sounds of the forest. This is a true log cabin, and a piece of history. I was incredibly impressed at the cleanliness of the home. There was neither dust, nor pest. It was very cozy and welcoming. Also, I don't know how we will survive not having a sleeping porch at home. What a gem!!I also loved the little owl "love notes" posted in important places. It was a cute way to help guests remember how to take care of the home.Tara was a pleasure to work with. The home is part of her family, and her love for it shows. We were happy to love it too for the time we were there. She gave us some great recommendations for things to do and see. Check-in and check-out were seamless. Wifi access was great. The kitchen was amazing. I had forgot coffee, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a small station with all I needed to get my morning fix!The location was perfect for us. We had our lakeside getaway, and we were close enough to Pigeon Forge, Gaitlinburg, and The Smokies to enjoy things in those places as well.Perfect vacation, we can't wait to come back!
