Welcome to A Sweet Retreat! And what a retreat it is indeed! Touching The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, our adorable 2 BD cabin (sleeps 6) is the ideal headquarters for your romantic get-a-way or family vacation. With spacious rooms, a hot tub, wood-burning fireplace, and national park views, you will never want to leave. The location is also ideal - just a short drive from all the action of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but far enough away to feel the serenity of the Smokies!

Located just outside of town on the edge of Wears Valley, A Sweet Retreat is a short 10-15 minute drive to all the restaurants, entertainment and action of Pigeon Forge, but still far enough away to actually FEEL the comforting call of the mountains. And talk about mountains! The Great Smoky Mountains National Park lies literally in the back yard, jutting up majestically from the back porch (and private hot tub). And from the front porch, you can gaze through the trees and into Wears Valley in the distance.

This two-level home offers a spacious living area with large stone fireplace located in between the living and dining rooms. Me, my husband and two girls (9&12) spent the week in your cabin and we had an amazing time. The girls loved the upstairs bedroom they shared and want to decorate their rooms at home just like it. Loved how we had everything there to make food at the cabin. Out very first day going out to unload we saw our first Bear!!!! Just strolling through the neighborhood lol Second morning we were having breakfast at the kitchen table and watched a mama bear with three bear cubs walking across in front of the cabin. We stayed in our third night grilled out and made smores. While making Smores we had a surprise visit from a bear a younger one who took off with the marshmallows and then hung around on the deck for about an hour. Fourth day we spent the day at Dollywood and had an amazing time that we always do when we stay and go there. Last night there my oldest and me were at the mall shopping while my husband and youngest stayed at the cabin. My youngest was on the front deck bear hunting she wanting Marshmellow (yes she named everyone we saw) to come back. She heard something moving next door and saw an adult bear standing up in the back of the neighbors truck so she ran inside and told her dad he sent me pictures and that one was huge. We overall enjoyed our stay and we have never seen that many bears in one place when visiting and it was my first time seeing bears like that except from Cades Cove. Only complaints we would have is no closet or dresser space in the king bedroom.

The road going up to cabin has no lines on it, is narrow and can be treacherous at night. Drive slowly and you'll be ok. Ivy/ grape vines need cut in parking spot.

The cabin was beautiful, the bedroom upstairs was perfect for our oldest, she wanted to stay there forever. The younger ones were so surprised by the pull out couch. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed, and I love that it had a coffee bar. Bathrooms had plenty of towels. Back porch had a hot tub which was clean and directly behind us was the woods. We were thrilled to see a bear early one morning wandering around. Overall it was such a wonderful stay!

Yeah, I was not happy with the service. We didnt get the front door codes they couldnt help with it had to stay somwhere else . Was not happy at all will not recommend. This to any of my coustomers or vendors i work with .

Beautiful scenery and so quiet. Fireflies light up the woods and bears will visit. Everything we needed was in the cabin. Takes some getting use to the steep inclines in the mountains. You will not regret your choice of cabins!

Distance from gatlinburg/pigeon forge was great. Isolated and peaceful while being literally on the outskirts of the smoky mountain nat’l forest. Could not recommend this cabin enough!

This cabin felt like home! Very cozy and decorated wonderfully. The cabin was clean and updated. Master bed was so comfy I could've moved in!!! There is not much of a yard. The mountain backs up to deck where we saw a bear daily. The bears seem to have routine and don't bother you at all. One cub even came right up to the door. It was the highlight of the trip! :) Now the road to get up here is not for the faint of heart. It is a paved road, but in some spots there are drop offs without even a curb. Most of the road is fine and can fit two cars. Now mind you, I get nervous on these types of roads so it may seem fine to most, ha ha. There are two switchbacks that you need to maneuver. We were going up and down daily so for my husband it was not a big deal. Most of the roads in this area are like this, we are in the mountains. I would definitely stay again in spite of that road :). Host was fantastic, checked in on us. Overall...pick the cabin. You will not regret it!

We enjoyed our stay at Sweet Retreat. The property was clean, comfortable, and convenient. I especially liked that there was a bedroom and bathroom on the same floor as the kitchen and living room.

The cabin is beautiful and definitely feels like a home away from home. The cabin is well equipped with every thing we needed and then some. Overall was a perfect stay for our weekend getaway!

The location was perfect: access to wonderful hiking trails in the Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge all within in 25 minutes. The hot tub was a wonderful way to soak sore muscles after climbing to the top of Le Conte! Make sure to try the fried pies!!

The cabin wasthe nicest one ive ever stayed at. All the nessesities, beyond clean. Clise to town and shops. Loved it. BUT... THE VERY FIRST NIGHT ME AND MY FRIEND WAS GOUNG TO ENJOY OUR HOT TUB. AND WE LOIK UP AND A BIG BLACK BEAR IS STANDING ON THE STEPS OF THE HOT TUB . Terrified we tried scaring him / her away. He proceeded to go over the little fence ( still close enough to touch him ) we made a run for it and got inside. Needless to say we never got to use the hot tub. Even with how grand the place was i would never go back there. Thise pirches with the hot tub needs a protective barrier. I cant imagine what would hapoen if u grilled out and tried to have a meal outside. That was the scardest ive ever been

I had great communication with manager from check-in to checkout. It's outside the busy areas but have some good country restaurants and general stores close by. The cabin sits in the middle of six other cabins. It's quiet and cozy when inside. I did not use the hottub but it's covered and well lite. It's clean and well kept.i would stay here again in the near future.
