I had a great overall stay at Villas of the Galleon. The room was clean, fresh, and very comfortable—housekeeping exceeded my expectations in a really positive way.
The location is amazing. Being right on Seven Mile Beach is unbeatable, and all of the nearby restaurants were top-notch. It really made the trip feel special.
The only issue I had—and the main reason I probably wouldn’t return—is the situation with the beach lounge chairs and umbrellas. They get taken very early by guests who leave towels on them and then disappear for hours, while others are left waiting with no place to sit. This shouldn’t be allowed, especially if there aren’t enough chairs for everyone staying at the villas.
There should be a rule in place and enforced by security, who are present but don’t seem to address the issue. I also noticed chairs being set up too far from the villas, which adds to the inconvenience.
I don’t want to wake up early on vacation just to compete for a beach chair—that’s not my idea of a relaxing experience.
Other than that, everything else about the stay was excellent.
