    The Space:

    Step into this modern and bright condo unit featuring a sophisticated palette of white and brown. The interior is thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort and functionality, offering ample space to relax. Clean lines and contemporary design elements create a sleek and inviting ambiance, making this space a perfect blend of style and comfort.



    This condo offers the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and ample counter space, perfect for cooking and entertaining. The bathroom is a serene retreat with a tub, providing a soothing escape after a long day in the city. Adjacent, a cozy closet space offers convenient storage, ensuring your stay is both functional and relaxing.

    Laundry facilities are available in the building as well as a rooftop deck with breathtaking views of Lake Union, downtown Seattle, and Capitol Hill. With a walk score of 98, the apartment is centrally located where Capitol Hill meets Downtown Seattle. It offers unlimited amounts of fun: from Pacific Place & Westlake shopping centers, theaters, the monorail, and Pike Place Market to LGBTQ-friendly bars, brunch spots, and boutiques.



    Guest Access:

    A convenient self check-in system gives you flexibility. Guests have access to the entire condo unit and amenities of the secured-entry building including:

    1- The pool table and TV Lounge are on the first floor next to the lobby. Access can be arranged with the concierge.

    2- Rooftop deck offering great views of Seattle and a seating area. You will need your Key Fob to access the rooftop. Hours are 7am-10pm.

    3- Laundry facility on the 2nd floor (North side, 2nd last door on your right side, $1.75 for washer and $1.75 for dryer, pay cash or phone app.)

    4- Trash and recycle on the 4th floor (outside through the exit door).



    The Neighborhood:

    We are centrally located just steps from the Convention Center, Pacific Place, and Westlake Center & station. The condo is also within walking distance to the heart of Downtown, Pike Place Market, the Seattle waterfront as well as Capitol Hill. Light rail is a 10 minute walk to and from airport, International District/China Town, University of Washington and Pioneer Square. It is 1.3 mile to Space Needle. Monorail is available at Westlake center (2nd floor) to take you to Seattle Center/Space Needle.



    Getting Around:

    Parking is NOT included with this condo, though there is often availability at nearby lots or at the metered curb.

    Freeway Park Garage: Entrance on Hubbell Place, between Pike and Seneca Streets

    Washington State Convention Main Garage: Entrance on 8th Avenue, between Pike and Seneca Streets



    The area is well served by Uber and Lyft, is 5 blocks from light rail at Westlake Station to the airport and UW, and is just one block to the nearest bus stop. To get to the stadium, you can drive (~ 6 miles) or take the light rail (~ 26 mins walk + ligh trail ride)



    Other Things to Note:

    1- The condo is centrally located in a vibrant urban setting. As with most city properties, some street noise and traffic sounds are a natural part of the experience.

    2- Parking is not included but can be reserved through the host for $35/day. Alternatively, there are nearby garages or street parking.

    3- Each unit has an individual heating control; however, maximum temperature is regulated by the building's HOA. A portable heater is provided for added comfort.

    4- The Elektra is a 16-story building with roots dating back to 1949 and a full remodel in 1997. It carries a distinct vintage character and offers a comfortable, well-located stay in the heart of the city.

    5- Lost or misplaced unit key or fob: $100 replacement fee per item.

    6- Lost or misplaced garage fob: $200 replacement fee.



    ****We make no guarantee that properties adjacent to the Unit will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise or inconvenience from construction, traffic or other guests or neighbors. Any such disturbance shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.



    Interaction with Guests:

    The building is secured, therefore, we will communicate with you about check in. Please, inform us your arrival time 72 hours before your check in day and any change or update on the day of arrival.

We may well have been the very first guests at the previously un-reviewed condo. Everything seemed brand new, including the faint smell of a recent repainting. The location is great for the convention center and a short (less than 1/2 mile) walk to the train to the airport. Communication with Valta (the rental agency) was prompt and excellent. So why only 4 stars? There were some startup issues for this property. The built-in microwave was inoperative and some of the lights would flicker on and off, hinting at some electrical gremlins. The was a severe lack of electrical outlets for charging phones and devices that could easily be remedied by providing more power strips. The pillows in the larger bedroom were huge and hard and could have doubled as construction bricks - fortunately we found two softer ones in the smaller bedroom that was not used during this visit.If we have need to stay in this part of Seattle again, we won't hesitate to return to this property. Hopefully by then these other matters will have been addressed by the property owner.
