Beautiful Older Sea Ranch Home

We had a great time at the Lupine house! With a two minute walk down to the beach or to the playground or to see the seals- this house is ideal! :)

Real people there to help

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been going to Sea Ranch for over 40 years and always rent through Beach Rentals because they are friendly, knowledgable and there when you need them. When we had trouble with the TV they sent someone over right away. We love Lupine house because it’s small but comfortable, efficient, full of light, close to our favorite beaches and walks.

A good spot for low-maintenance people on a budget

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sweet little spot, awesome location. Interiors are pretty dated and it wasn't spotless, but it's perfect if you're on a budget and plan to spend most of your time outside anyway.

A Peaceful Retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I really don't like reviewing our stays at Sea Ranch because I wish no one else ever went there! We want it all to ourselves. Actually, it always feels like we have it to ourselves and it's so beautiful and peaceful. The Lupine house is very comfortable and well appointed. We stay there once a year - this year was our 5th time staying at Lupine. Sea Ranch is totally magical and Beach Rentals is a lovely company with friendly and helpful staff!

NOW AT HOME

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hi--- We enjoyed our stay very much although we were very disappointed that again we were not able to access the deck because of a faulty lock set on the access door. If this is not remedied we would reconsider our choosing to stay in this house again. Other than for this issue we were generally happy about our experience.Last year ,I remember, there was a compensation for the loss of use of the deck area. Perhaps this could be considered also for this year.Best,Ron Heglin

Pretty good

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was generally good. The one thing we were frustrated with was the Wi-fi. My partner is an IT professional and his assessment was that the wifi router really needs to be replaced as it was generations older than modern options.

Relaxing at Sea Ranch

This property is more of a budget option for the area, but a good one. The bones are wonderful, the decor/ furniture does not entirely match the era of the development of the sea ranch which is a disappointment, but it is cozy and will provide all that one might need. The space was clean and overall a great place for a family vacation.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stay at Lupine every year — it has a great layout for a small family and is very close to a wonderful tidepooling beach and playground. Unfortunately it needs a refresh badly — the window seat, couch, and master bed are long past their lifespans. With some updates, we hope to keep staying here for years to come!

Great Location - Mediocre Accommodation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: On the positive side, Lupine is an easy walk to the Sea Ranch Ocean trail. It has a great picture window view of a meadow and some blue water in the distance. Beach Rental outfitted the house generously with essentials. The hot tub is well situated and easy to access. On the negative side, the house is tiny; there is no pantry. It's a one-and-a-half-person kitchen, at best. It has not been updated, I suspect, ever. Liquid dripped on our heads from the leaking transom over the toilet in the front bedroom. The beds were mushy and lumpy. To watch TV, we had to pivot the old and heavy hide-a-way bed couch ninety degrees. We rented this house at the last minute because there were not a lot of choices. The internet went out several times a day; it was pokey at best, challenging to work here. Bottom line, if you don't mind dingy, this home is for you. I recommend The Vue restaurant in Gualala for fresh California cuisine. I would not rent this home again.
