Up to Four Lucky travelers will feel at home in this ground level apartment, just a stone's throw away from Forsyth Park. The Lynwood Collection on Forsyth is located on Historic Gaston Street and has been renovated top-to-bottom. Coastal decor ties the space together and creates an inviting space for guests to relax. Enjoy morning or evening strolls beneath the Spanish moss trees, and start your adventure discovering all Savannah has to offer.

Entering on the ground floor, you will be provided a secure key code unique to your stay, that ensures safe entry as you check in to your home away from home. Nestle into your coastal digs by gathering together in the living space fitted with a flat screen TV. Guests are welcome to access their streaming favorites like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime.

The kitchen is open to the living space, perfect for entertaining your guests. This quaint space offers stainless steel appliances, and is fitted to prepare a home cooked meal. Just down the hall, you'll find the king-size bedroom that features a private patio, great for an intimate meal or reading a book. Curl up into bed after a long day of exploring the town, and catch up on your favorite shows on the flatscreen television. You can also find the bathroom that features a spacious vanity, walk-in shower and a stack-able washer and dryer.

In the morning, we recommend taking a short stroll across Forsyth Park to The Sentient Bean for a latte or refreshing iced coffee. For lunch, pop over to Bull Street Taco and explore their unique twist on tacos. As you wander around town, stroll through the Squares of Savannah, enriched in history. For dinner, head north downtown, where there's none better than The Grey, a Southern fine dining experience retrofitted inside an old Greyhound Bus Station. After a day out, relax in the park and listen to the sound of the Forsyth fountain.

  • Designed by John S. Norris for General Hugh Weedon Mercer, construction of the house began in 1860. Construction was interrupted by the American Civil War, and finally completed around 1868 by the new owner, John Wilder. Before Hansford's death, as retold in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the house had already been the scene of two deaths. In 1913, a previous owner tripped over the second floor banister, fractured his hip, and suffered a concussion, dying three days later. In 1964, a boy chasing pigeons on the roof fell over the edge and impaled himself on the iron fence below.

The location was fantastic! We spent lots of time in Forsyth Park. Also having an assigned free parking spot was great. We didn't like having Roku TV as we don't have streaming services. We're cable people. But again, the location was wonderful. Everything was walkable. We had a fantastic time.

Highly recommend this lovely apartment right outside of Forsyth Park! It was clean and comfortable and perfect for our 4 night stay in Savannah. Excellent communication from the property management and very clear and easy check in and check out information.

The best location to explore all of Savannah

We really loved our stay! The location was fabulous - right off Forsyth Park - 20 minute walk north to the river or 20 minutes south to the Starland district - and we never had to move our car. The space was perfect for what we needed and highly recommend for couples wanting to experience all of Savannah on foot. The only issue, as others have stated, was the WiFi. Don’t miss Leapold’s for ice cream, the Thompson for a rooftop drink overlooking the river, Big Bon Bodega and Mirabelle’s for breakfast and Bull Street Tacos for a casual dinner.

The property was nice. Clean. Most frustrating was that the refrigerator never got very cold. Water leaking from somewhere and gathered on the shelves. Puddle on the floor. Sliding door doesn't lock. Safety bar broken, but still effective. but effective.

Southern Charm

This was a great choice to explore Savannah. The home was very clean and had all the basics for a short stay. We were able to park the car and walk anywhere in the historic area. The bed was comfortable and the towels a nice thickness. Washer and dryer a big plus.

Nice Place in Great Location

Location, location, location! Just steps away from Forsyth Park and about 20 minute walk to the river, so everything within reach. The place was nice for 2 people that had a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and DESIGNATED parking space. (So, you don't have to pay for parking or move your car to avoid the street sweepers.) Only nitpicky things were: -The water in the shower had to be put on cold for you to get hot water -The mattress was a little too firm, but that's just preference -The wifi would cut in and out sometimes while watching the Smart TV Would certainly book again and highly recommend!

Forsyth Park Stay

The location was exactley what i wanted. Forsyth Park is the best park of all in all of Savanaha. Accommodations: The morning hot water shower was barely warm enough and the toilet paper holder needs to be tightened. Everything else was excellent. The dryer came in handy with the storm that hit us!

Location location location

The apartment is at the corner of Forsyth Park and close to the trolley pick up points. And having a designated parking place is a wonderful amenity. The apartment is a pictured, clean and comfortable. The WiFi sometimes is intermittent and does not pick up in the bedroom. The bed is a king and so comfortable for those who like memory foam mattresses I would recommend this VRBO to anyone visiting Savannah!!

Nice place/area to stay

Great property that was steps to Forsyth Park and it was close to be able to hop on the trolley in 2 different places. The added benefit was the included parking space. The only negative is the air doesn't go below 70 degrees no matter what you adjust it to so it was a little warmer in the living room/kitchen area for me and although the mattress is comfortable it probably should be replaced due to it sagging in the center.

Clean & great location

Apartment was very nice and clean. Parking was nice, location was great. Check in & out was easy and well described. Plenty of towels and bed was comfy. I give 4 stars for the two negatives… water in the shower was at best, warm, no hot showers here with knob turned as far as it could go. Internet was very spotty and did not work in the bedroom. So while the tv in the bedroom was nice, it’s not watchable. Both easy fixes if the renter tends to it. Otherwise we enjoyed this stay and would stay again, with hopes of a hot shower.

Unacceptable Lack of Basic Amenities

Highly disappointed with my experience in this property. On top of a shower with an improperly installed drain, the faucet would only allow lukewarm water to run. When notifying the property management, there was a lack of comprehension with the issue and then it was deemed that the issue was fixed. The issues was not the water heater itself, since the sink in the front room was very hot. There is a physical limitation to how far the shower faucet can turn, which appears to be intentional since it would not rotate fully to the hot setting. For the price being charged, I would expect amenities that would be present in any regular hotel room, and there was a failure to deliver the basic amenity of having a hot shower available. Other properties under the Lucky Savannah portfolio have similar reviews of non-draining showers, so this seems to have affected this property as well. The location and parking spot are the only real highlights of this rental, but it truthfully ends there.
