Chic Digs Across From Forsyth Park w/ Parking by Lucky Savannah

Up to six Lucky travelers will feel at home in this two story apartment, just a stone's throw away from Forsyth Park. The Lynwood Collection on Forsyth is located on Historic Gaston Street and has been renovated top-to-bottom. Coastal decor ties the space together and creates an inviting space for guests to relax. Enjoy morning or evening strolls beneath the Spanish moss trees, and start your adventure discovering all Savannah has to offer.

Entering on the second floor, you will be provided a secure key code unique to your stay, that ensures safe entry as you check in to your home away from home. Nestle into your coastal digs by gathering together in the living space fitted with a flat screen TV. Guests are welcome to access their streaming favorites like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime. A half-bath has been tucked between the kitchen, and living room, ideal for guests who will be using the queen-size sleeper sofa.

The bright and airy kitchen features an ample amount of counter space, including a large island that can seat your entire group. Guests will enjoy having modern conveniences, such as stainless appliances, and a full-size washer/dryer. Enjoy a glass of wine or a morning cup of joe on the balcony that sits off of the kitchen.

Head upstairs to find two bedrooms, that are furnished with a king and queen size bed. The master bedroom floods with natural light, a flat screen TV, en suite bath with standing shower and a spacious walk-in closet. Next door, the second bedroom is home to a queen size bed and a second en suite bath with tub/shower combo!

  • Designed by John S. Norris for General Hugh Weedon Mercer, construction of the house began in 1860. Construction was interrupted by the American Civil War, and finally completed around 1868 by the new owner, John Wilder. Before Hansford's death, as retold in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the house had already been the scene of two deaths. In 1913, a previous owner tripped over the second floor banister, fractured his hip, and suffered a concussion, dying three days later. In 1964, a boy chasing pigeons on the roof fell over the edge and impaled himself on the iron fence below.

Really nice property just off of Forsyth Park, walking distance to the river and all the activities. Great layout, and all the amenities were top notch. Great way to spend a Thanksgiving in Savannah with family!

Firstly, overall a wonderful apartment. A number of comments: no facial tissues, more coat hangers would have been good, no hanging hooks in bathrooms for wet towels, no plastic cups (safer than walking around with glasses), 6 dinner plates but only 5 salad plates, no large bread type knives, directions to residence misleading, would be worthwhile to do some graphical work and produce simple maps for directions to Kroger etc rather than rely on the micro typed tourist maps, seating around island in kitchen inadequate, not enough seating in living room, seats in living room were old and mismatched appeared they were hand me downs or trash, were certainly not comfortable. Despite the apparently awful review we would certainly book again if we are in the city and will recommend it to friends

Included parking was the best! Loved the location with all the beautiful homes and being across the street from Forsyth Park. You need to drive to City Market, suggest researching close parking garages to minimize walking. It was very convenient to have Kroger a few blocks away. Tybee Island was also a nice break for everyone! Great place to stay, great town, great mom-daughter-granddaughter vacation!

My husband and our best friends stayed for Labor Day weekend just to get away and hang out. The location and stay was perfect! We walked everywhere - to shops/dining/historical locations! It was awesome!

Below average communication

The communication started out great before our vacation and at check-in . After that our issues with broken items were not addressed. We gad a broken Ceiling fan, an ice maker that didn’t work, a shower drain that was clogged and closet door that broke off … none of these were addressed by management and we never got an apology.

Just a little too tight

Nice place but the architecture was squeezed in. Hangers can't sit straight in the closet because the closet is too narrow. The only plug in the bathroom was on the wall side of the sink. While there is an ample shelf in the bathroom, you cannot leave anything charging in the bathroom because the plug is too far away. Really nice neighborhood. Nice parking.

Property was great. Be aware there are stairs inside and outside, BUT the location was fabulous.Across the street from Forsythe Park, within walking distance of the Mercer House and other attractions, and easy walking distance to many great restaurants. Highly recommend Clarys and Treylor Park.

Perfect Location

The location was great. Right across from Forsyth Park. The condo came with on-site parking. Easy to walk or drive to get around.

Convenient with issues

Location super convenient. Has parking around back. Beds comfortable. Front upstairs bedroom a bit noisy with street noise if you are picky about that.Upon arrival the WiFi wasn’t working, therefore tv wouldn’t work. Said they would have to send someone out next day. The next day we had to return early to meet someone and when we walked in I noticed a switch by the front entry that said TV. Once I switched it the WiFi came on and TV worked. Would have been so easy if someone would have said, “check the switch at the front door”. We hadn’t touched it so I think cleaning crew must have before we got there.Shower didn’t drain so while showering you stood in 2-3 inches of dirty water. Faucets in both showers installed wrong so hot is cold and cold is hot. Sent someone the 2nd day to put Drano in it. Was better, but still didn’t drain properly still stood in about an inch of water. Bathrooms are the size of a small closet not a lot of room to get ready or counter space. Not super clean bathrooms see sink.Roof leak I notified them about in front bedroom.Stairs…if you are traveling with an elderly person or a lot of luggage…don’t stay here. Quite the workout to get your stuff inside and then 2 more sets of stairs to get to bedrooms. Outside stairs are VERY STEEP.

All Things Savannah

If you want to experience Savannah the right way, then consider this property. It's literally a few doors down from the iconic Forsyth Park and just around the corner to historical points of interests. The property itself was just the right size for 4 people, comfortable, and spacious enough to spread out and relax. The management team was quick to respond to our texts. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Great Location to stay

This place was a lovely stay at a lovely location with forsythe park basically in the backyard. House was very clean and had almost everything we needed. Only thing that was missing was in the kitchen was some kitchen knives. But we had a lovely time and we were able to see the St. Patrick's day parade from the house!

Savannah visit

We had such a nice stay in Savannah. Our unit was nice (recently remodeled?) and was very neat and clean. It was in a lovely neighborhood near Forsythe Square and trolley and bus stops. Restaurants and bars were nearby as well.

Simple with a great location

This 2 bedroom was a short walk to everything and right across from Forsythe Park. Check-in and Check-out was never easier. Beds were comfortable and living space and kitchen were nice. Basic condo but the location easily made up for any short comings. Washer and Dryer were a plus. Only negatives were water pressure in shower and shower pan which the drain was not low enough for drainage. We would stay there again on a subsequent visit.

Savannah getaway

The property was well kept and well equipped located adjacent to Forsyth Park with easy access to the DOT line (free bus) and parking on site. We would definitely recommend this property and stay there again.
