Shadows Nest - Unique, Modern Rustic Design Holiday Home

This renovated cabin located in Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia is less than 15 minutes from downtown, Helen. This one-of-a-kind cabin boasts a unique, rustic-modern design, paying homage to the Helen and Sautee Nacoochee area with local art, antiques and treasures. All of this paired with the modern touches make for one of the finest of vacation rental properties. Shadows Nest is nestled under a canopy of trees in a community surround by the sights and sounds of nature.

Upon arrival, you are greeted by a large open-air front porch with 2 ceiling fans, 4 rocking chairs and a porch swing. There is even a coffee table on the porch to put your feet up and relax from a long day of exploring. The back screened porch features a lovely bed swing. In the backyard, you will also find the outdoor fire pit and a gas grill. Bring your own firewood and we will supply the propane for the grill.

As you enter the cabin, you are in the main living room. This room is an open concept, sharing space with the kitchen area. The living room has a gas fireplace with a stone surround and hearth. A generous 52" flat panel Vizio smart TV allows you to access your personal entertainment apps like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video and more. A sofa table sits below the TV where you will find area appropriate books and guides, magazines and the guest journal. Additionally, the sofa table holds a Sonos Symfonisk WiFi speaker for playing your favorite music from a cell phone. There is even a cabin guitar available for use by guests. A comfy leather couch, rustic-industrial coffee table and a cinema chair rounds off the living room.

The rustic red kitchen is our favorite part of the cabin. The kitchen boasts a large black granite counter and eating area with 4 stools for meals, drinks, or just hanging out. The full-size appliances are Frigidaire stainless steel that include a stove top and oven, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker and a dishwasher. The cabinets are filled with all the pots and pans, cooking utensils, dinnerware, flatware and glassware for enjoying a meal together at Shadows Nest. There is also a blender, toaster, crockpot, and mixer for your use. The single bowl black Kohler sink with black fixtures and the black range hood completes the modern kitchen design. For the coffee afficionados, there is a Cuisinart dual coffee maker with both a 12-cup glass carafe and a single serve brewer.

There are two bedrooms at Shadows Nest. The master bedroom has a king bed and a private bath with a single sink vanity and a shower/tub combination. The guest bedroom has both a queen bed and a set of twin bunk beds. The guest bath also has a shower/tub combination and a two-sink vanity. Each bedroom has a sleep machine, charger ports and a flat panel smart TV.
