The host was terrible. She never responded to my messages and we weren't give a key code to get in. the place is in need of some serious updating-paint, cleaning and general repairs. It was only thanks to a man on staff at Shorewood Gardens that we were able to make contact with the host and get the key code..
this corner is in need of repair

shower curtain liner was filthy and stained
vents were clogged with dust

Host interaction was fine. Bed was comfortable but the place is very dated and could use some upkeep. Electrical outlet didn't have a cover, lights burnt out and master bath wall by shower needs fixing.

Vacation

Communication with the property manager was poor. When we arrived it took 15 minutes and many attempts to unlock the door. The lock is not functioning properly. I attempted to call the manager and it went directly to voicemail. I sent two messages and they both went unanswered. The place is clean and in a good location but due to poor communication with the property manager I cannot recommend it.

We love this place

This was our third time staying in this condo complex and second time in this exact condo. We love it and actually plan our trip around the availability. It could use some updates in the decor. The dishwasher needs replaced. The current one has a lot of rust. I didn’t use it for the entire 10 days because of the rust. The pots and pans could be replaced too. But even with those negatives we plan to stay here again when we come back next year.

Reality vs. Not Reality

We are staying in a floor unit, and have stayed with Shorewalk before. This unit needs some attention.1. The pillows are yellow (bad stains- gross gross) we had to buy all new.2. There is mold spores in ALL the vents and we had to change the filter out, because it was caked with dust. 3. Repairs and issues, are riddled throughout the unit. Shower on hot is cold and cold is hot. Dishwasher doesn’t clean and it’s so rusty in then inside you almost don’t want to put dishes in there. The cabinets are peeling in the kitchen and all the dishes are chipped or the Teflon pans are scratched. 4. Door was broken but was repaired during our stay; however we slept with it broken in a sketchy area and anyone could have come in. 5. One hot tub wasn’t hot and the other didn’t have jets. Our unit is for sale but the price we paid vs. what we received is very disheartening and not accurate to the posting. We love Shorewalk but overall we’re disappointed in the unit and the lack of upkeep.

Shorewalk Vacarion

There were two of us. On arrival had issues figuring out the door lock however after a quick phone call to the property manager the issue was resolved. The unit was clean and the location was perfect. Aldis and Publix were within walking distance. Inside the unit the King bed was comfortable, one bathroom had a large walk in shower and the other a tub. The pools and club house were a 2 minute walk from the unit. We had a great holiday.

Christmas time in Bradenton

nice heated pool and hot tubs, one pool was very cold, I guess that the heater was broke, staff at the community area were friendly, condo was nice and clean, beds were fine, the only thing I would suggest is to get more dishes, lacking cups, no cookie sheets, and no casserole dishes, but the dollar store is next door so can always buy aluminum ones and toss after. all in all I would recommend this place and would definitely stay again. thanks so much

Rude, poor customer service and many broken things

The location and neighborhood were great and fit out needs. However, the place was in very poor condition - broken screens entire "screened" patio was open. The shower nobs are mislabeled and hot is really cold. The door lock was worthless - any number will get you in (found that out the 2nd day). The first person we called when we were pointing out the MANY issues so they wouldn't charge us (including many notifications that amenities passes are 6 and you pay if one is lost - EXCEPT there were only 5 there) was very kind. When I couldn't get the door to lock when we were trying to leave, the guy who answered was very rude, told me I should somehow just know that they changed the code {but never told us and after we were given a previous code} then he kept telling me he was busy and they just forgot to tell us because they had so many properties. But he kept giving me different codes and it took several to work. Then the steps to lock the door did not match what we were told and he was really angry that I didn't just know how to do it - even though their directions were wrong. When I asked him why the instructions were wrong, why I was not notified of the code change, etc. he told me I was rude and he was going to hang up. Then he got even more rude and said it was not his problem. Many things were very wrong - door locks (back door locks are very flimsy), most lights didn't work and switches went no where, was very warm in the unit, missing pass to pool, etc.

Brandenton Condo Community

Paper towel supply was a minimum. No facial tissues were provided. There was one 2"x 3" sponge provided as a dish cloth & countertop cleaner. This left the glass dining table streaked and unclean. Kitchen towels were provided when asked. Pots & pan supply is minimal and handles were loose. We tightened them. There were no cooking supplies, such as oils, sugar, rice, vinegar. There was only salt and pepper. Renters should be aware of Theresa, working in the Club House. She craves conflict and control over people using the Club House facilities (pool, grill, bathrooms, pickle-ball, etc.). She will do and say anything to pick at you to make turmoil in your stay, to make sure you know that she reigns, in her own little Club House world. The other Club House workers are all so very nice.

Loved it!

The property was just as listed. It was comfortable and clean. My boys had fun and the pool and utilized the basketball court. The property was close to everything and we enjoyed our stay!

The condo is worn out, outdated, and treated as if they don’t care about the place.

I judge a place by asking a simple question: “Would an owner live here?” The owner definitely doesn’t live here!! I had to purchase a spatula, coffee filters, whisk, salt & pepper and more. I had to wash the sheets after the first night (no details to protect you). The TV is easily 12-15 years old. I’d like to see the owner invest $350 in a smart TV and some coffee filters.

Good value

Overall a nice place to stay. Master bedroom mattress is very firm, took some getting use to. A full size and queen size bed were crammed into the second bedroom which made it difficult to get in and out of bed (you could barely get between the beds). Property was very nice with many amenities.

Moldy, outdated scam!

Avoid this place! The unit is not as it appears in pictures. There is mold and mildew, along with previous smoker, smell as soon as you walk in the door. They have rearranged the guest bedroom with two oversized beds that leave no room to walk in between. There is exposed electrical outlets, rusty tub fixtures, torn and rusted dryer lint catcher (which ruined my clothes) and missing kitchen chairs. When advised I couldn’t stay in the unit after the 1st night due to the mold and condition of the unit, the owner confirmed she would issue a refund the remaining 3 nights. She then proceeded to request I Venmo cash prior to her issuing a full refund. I have yet to receive a refund from the owner. Terrible unit and dishonest owners!! Avoid VRBO also! This company is of no help. They refuse to provide a supervisor call back, refuse to hold their property owners responsible and essentially rejected my concerns altogether.
