"The garden area felt like a little slice of paradise with bunnies running around freely helping to maintain the grass - as well as donkeys. Monkeys were climbing in the trees, and occasionally a large turtle would cross the lawn. The place itself was very calming and the staff sweet and helpful."

"Primeland is a small first class boutique hotel and highly recommended. Its 3 star rating belies its quality. The only drawback is that the very clean standard double rooms, although very well appointed, are small.  This can easily be overcome by booking a twin room (for a few pounds more) and requesting the removal of the single bed. The breakfast is limited but quite adequate and the lunch / dinner menu extensive for the size of the hotel.  The grilled Nile Perch is highly recommended as is...

"The location of this lodge is amazing, offering a serene setting to enjoy the wildlife of Tanzania when not on safari. The lodge sits on the edge of a marsh and gave us multiple terrace options (including a private one attached to our room) to do some bird watching. While there , we saw the African fish eagle and Black-and-white cascade hornbill, songbirds too many to count, along with some visiting Vervet monkeys.
