Spectacular & Secluded Wine Country Estate

Summary:
Set on over 55 acres offering privacy and serenity, our wine country estate will transport you to another time and place. It has been completely renovated while staying true to its 70s roots. Enjoy the sunken conversation pit, a grotto-style pool with hot tub and cascading waterfall. Perfect for large groups who want privacy as well as almost every amenity you can imagine.

The Space:
The style is evocative of the 1970s with a nod to Club Med and the South Pacific islands. The pool is solar-heated from April to October, offering a comfortable swim during the warmer months. Please note that October weather can feel cooler, but we offer a pool heater option for an additional fee to ensure your comfort.

The grounds include lush vegetation and flowering plants and trees along with massive heritage oak trees that overlooks two historical barns and a corral of horses. Enjoy hiking to the top of Mt. Taylor or visit the surrounding wineries in the Bennett Valley while being only a few minutes from Whole Foods and the shops of Santa Rosa or Glen Ellen.

Please note that while the house has been remodeled extensively there are still a few imperfections typical of a house that is over 40 years old.

You will have access to everything on the property. There will be nobody else on the property during your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Our property is located in the Bennett Valley between Santa Rosa and Glen Ellen. While we are in the country you will only be a few minutes from Whole Foods and many fine restaurants.

Getting Around:
Ride share services are available should you prefer not to drive. Plenty of parking on our property.

Other Things to Note:
Please note that this property is being offered for the first time as a short term rental which makes it a special place for visitors. There are two adjacent properties that can be combined with this house for groups of up to 50 people. Ask for details.

We loved staying at Bruce and Marvies beautiful homes. We enjoyed the cleanliness, how communicative and accommodating they were, and the special touches like preparing the extra beds we needed. We enjoyed the hike, saw some wildlife, and loved how well stocked the kitchen was with cooking tools and dishes. The pools, jacuzzis, bbqs were clean and well enjoyed. Plus the views were spectacular! Thank you so much!

A great house with a ton of character and a lot of space -- both indoor and outdoor. It was clean, with comfortable beds/pillows and had a nice pool. The owner was very responsive and communicative. Our families had a special weekend together. Definitely recommend.

We had an amazing time at Bruce's beautiful and eclectic home in Santa Rosa for a bachelorette weekend with 14 ladies!! We used every bed on the property! Things we loved: the large communal living room space, the pool, the views and scenery, Bruce's responsiveness and hospitality. The house had everything we needed - and it was fun walking to the barn a short walk from the house to see goats and rabbits. The decor in the house is funky and fun. We spent a lot of time in Sonoma and touring wineries in the area. Would absolutely recommend this place!

Hands down- best weekend of my life :)

This birthday year was giving me a lot of anxiety figuring out what to do and what not. But once I found this place (and the sunken living room- why aren't there more of those?) everything fell into place. The hosts were so responsive to any questions I had and were so gracious and flexible with their time- it really helped put everything at ease. All of my friends are still talking about how much fun they had and how much they miss it. Truly the best time and thank you again for everything!

Wonderful gathering spot

We truly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the pool, hot tub and sauna. What fantastic decor through the house. Oh and we had such fun singing our hearts out in the karaoke room. Cozy fireside chats, group dinners, separate areas for watching movies. Plus the basketball court and trampoline were a kick. All the things!

Acres of Peace comfort and style in Santa Rosa

First of all, the house design, layout and comfort was well above my expectations. Cheetah print carpets, high ceilings, beautiful natural light and endless balconies. Perfect ! Pool house is practically a two bedroom. ( theres an extra bedroom near kitchen i didn’t see on the post - a plus) Had a large group and we were all more than comfortable. The living room with an array of vinyls to choose really kept us wanting to stay home and enjoy our time. On a rainy day we cooked and cooked and the house kitchen had everything you need. Felt like it was truly home. I love this place. Will love to go back because the home was equally accommodating as the wonderful host.. Absolute perfect home rental. see you again !

Gorgeous property

I loved this VRBO! It’s spacious and eclectic with plenty of room for a large group. There’s so many fun places to hang out inside and outside between the well-appointed bedrooms, sunken living room, multiple decks, and pool area. The host is an excellent communicator and the experience was perfect! I loved the setting as well with picturesque rolling hills and wild turkeys strolling about the neighborhood! Worth every penny!!

Fabulous 70s Pad

This is truly such a spectacular home. My girlfriends and I were obsessed with the design, attention to detail, the views of the valley (overlooking the neighbor's horse pastures and wild turkeys trotting about), the perfect pool, how spacious it felt, the sunken living room (complete with the softest shag carpet), well equipped kitchen, and so much more. I couldn't recommend it enough. Bruce was very communicative when I needed things too. We LOVED it.

Conference Retreat

The property was simply excellent. unfortunately we had rain and didn't get to enjoy the pool and outdoor space which look great. the accommodations were also excellent and we appreciated the well equipped kitchen. The record player in the conversation pit was a hit. Lastly, the host, or property manager, was very quick to reply to questions. We would recommend this property. Thanks.

Great stay!

This house leans into the theme in all the right ways. The decor is fun and the views are beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped for the number of people it houses and it offers a lot of seating areas. The conversation pit is great but the only thing to note is the in-house directions asked for no eating or drinking (dark drinks) in it which is understandable but puts extra rules on a big area to hang out. The pool area was great and we felt the house was the perfect amount of secluded while still being accessible enough to easily get an Uber. We had one issue with a circuit breaker and were able to get in contact late in the evening to get the help we needed. Would definitely rent again!

Absolutely stunning property

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property! The decor is like out of a movie in the 70’s, record player, disco ball in the basement, karaoke machine, beautiful artwork, and shag carpet. The property is on a large amount of land. You wake up to a beautiful view of horses, barns, and rolling hills. The bedrooms have such comfortable beds and linens, and towels all ready for you. The pool room is an added bonus perfect for a large family to have a get away. The pool and hot tub are well maintained and again the views are amazing. The communication with the property managers was on point and they checked in often. It is perfect for friend or family gathering. The kitchen has everything you need and beautiful view while you cook. We can’t wait for our next vacation here.
