"Loved this place!! So quaint and cozy. Our room had a little fireplace and the decor was charming. We ate at Doc Martins for brunch and it was wonderful. Had nachos when we first arrived that were great. Live music every night in the lobby/bar area. We had so much fun!!!"

"My husband and I have stayed at the Alpine Lodge a few times now, and that’s because we always have a very nice stay. The staff is very kind and helpful, the rooms are not the newest, but that doesn’t usually impress me anyway. They are clean, and that’s important to me! Easy and flexible checkin and out, no waiting in line at a desk and meeting office hours. Cafe is quaint and provides great coffee. Can order meals ahead to be served. Only had time for morning coffee but it was hot, ready as advertised and delicious. Grounds safe and beautiful."
"If you’re looking to be close to Great sand Dunes NP this is as close as you can get without actually being on the dunes, It’s only a 5min drive. We stayed in a Geo Dome, which was clean and also had a pretty comfortable bed. The Oasis also has really good food as well, I can’t speak to lunch but the breakfast was really great. All in all if you’re visiting the park this is the only place you should consider staying it will make your trip more enjoyable. "

However, there were a lot of dogs. They barked and we could hear them in our room.
A dog barked from 3 pm to 7 pm we asked the reception what was going on. She wanted to call the owners
we don't understand that there is no rule that dogs cannot be left alone in the rooms.
In the evening we were at the reception and relaxed when a huge German shepherd comes in. without a leash and without an owner. it ran around. our daughter was terrified. the lady...
"A great hotel in Taos area. Nicely groomed property, rooms with balcony, clean, friendly staff. Greater with homemade cookies. Breakfast buffet was so good - lots of variety and New Mexican fare included tamales, burritos, pintos, chili. We will definitely stay here again!"
