The nine-mile stretch between Yaverland and Shanklin, with Sandown nestled in the middle, demonstrates the wonders of geology, with red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver Cliff. If you crave an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water sports and you’ll be sure to see people paddle boarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing or catamaran and dingy sailing; weather dependent.A short walk towards Yaverland, you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary, famous for its big cats.
