"We spent 4 nights at this wonderful hotel. The room was very nice and clean. The staff in general was very nice, although a few were trying to "keep up appearances" a little too much. If you came for breakfast within the last hour, the choices on the buffet were limited, and you could wait 10-15 minutes for a clean yoghurt plate and a glass of orange juice."

"Excellent location at the very center of the old Cartagena, and still on a quiet square. The loudest being the horse-taxis that stroll by the door, which is very cozy. The room was very clean and had comfortable beds. The manager of the hotel and the clerks at the frontdesk where very helpful. We had bikes for free which is much fresher than walking in the wet heat to discovering the old town inside the city wall."

"Casa Carolina is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Cartagena’s Old City. The location is unbeatable—you can walk everywhere and never need an Uber. With only 15 rooms, it feels like staying in a private home, and the pool is gorgeous. The staff and service were amazing—truly one of the highlights of our stay. A few things to note: the wellness-style menu is healthy but doesn’t offer many snack options. Street performers outside (especially drummers) can be very loud at night, though...

"The property and staff were fantastic. The only reason for a 4 star on the property condition is that they were presently doing some maintenance on the property but that didn't get in our way. The staff was excellent and friendly, gave us tips on where to go and provided a laundry service for us. The breakfast was great. I would definitely stay there again. "

"Charming hotel. Beautiful and historic but not so clean/safe area. One evening I was offered "white coffee" 60 times in on a 60 minute walk. There is only a partial wall between the beroom and toilet. We were promised a welcome drink - didn't get one. "

"This hotel in Cartagena is a great place to stay for a few nights. It’s conveniently located near everything you need. I’d definitely stay there again. The pool area was nice, but no one seemed to be using it. A few birds were inside the pool when we arrived but left as they got scared. Maybe the bar and music could be improved, but there wasn’t much of a problem since there weren’t many people in the pool so I understand why they do not pay much attention. Overall, I’d stay there again."
