FULL DESCRIPTION
South Beach 5 occupies one of only five residences in a purpose-built oceanfront building at the south end of the Mission Beach boardwalk. The third-level main floor is anchored by retractable glass walls that dissolve the line between the living room and the Pacific, a Miele-equipped gourmet kitchen with SubZero refrigerator and freezer, and a wide balcony with bar top seating that turns happy hour into a front-row ocean experience.

Spiral up to the penthouse fourth level and you are higher than any surrounding structure, with sweeping coastal views that stretch north toward Crystal Pier and south to the Coronado Islands.

The boardwalk stretches miles in both directions, and Mission Bay is just a few-minute walk across the strand for kayaking, paddleboarding, and calm-water swimming. The building's beachfront common area adds a built-in BBQ, sun lounges, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after full days in the water.

South Beach 5 sits at south end of Belmont Park — close enough to the energy of the boardwalk, and up above the park and beach crowds. Ocean Front Walk runs directly in front of the building, giving guests immediate beach access and a flat boardwalk connection north to Belmont Park, the classic amusement park with its landmark wooden roller coaster, and beyond to Pacific Beach. The strand is a narrow strip of land here — the ocean is literally steps west and Mission Bay is steps east, offering two completely different water experiences from the same front door.

Mission Blvd is the neighborhood's spine, lined with surf shops, casual restaurants, artisan coffee, and beach boutiques — all within a short walk. The neighborhood has a genuine local beach-town character that guests consistently call out in reviews: walkable, relaxed, and endlessly entertaining without being overwrought.

Perfect location

Steve, Banesa, Cyril and Natalia were all wonderfully helpful and quick to respond to questions. The location was fantastic. Listening to the waves crash and feeling the ocean breeze was heaven at night. In the time during our stay, there was a surf competition, skateboard competition and festival, and a concert that all took place right by the condo and was great to experience but didn’t stay too loud too late at night. We also loved Belmont Amusement Park which is just a short walking distance up the boardwalk. Plenty of coffee and breakfast burrito options within walking distance as well and a bus to take you to SeaWorld and Gaslamp if needed. We are grateful to have found such a perfect spot for vacation!
