"Lovely friendly staff but they didn't seem to know anything. There was no mention about breakfast times and location etc on check in. We asked about the pool but the staff in the main building didn't know whether it was included or not (it's not). When searching for a hotel, I specifically selected Air Con as a filter, but what I didn't realise until too late, is the rooms that came up on my search don't have any - fortunately it cooled down the night we were there. Lovely big rooms."

"Room was very clean as was the bathroom. It had everything you needed and it was all clearly labelled. Kingsize bed was really comfy. Curtains were blackout so no light got through. Situated in a lovely quiet area so there was no noise throughout the night. Throughly enjoyed the room. Had no issues are complaints. "

"Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...

"Perfect bolthole. It feels like stepping into a nicer universe. We stayed in a yurt again, and admittedly, the ensuite is rustic and chilly as you would expect but the main yurt was cosy and luxe even when the weather was cold. Staying on a Thursday night meant food was available and live entertainment!"

"This property was a real treat! It felt very well catered, toiletries in the bathroom, water and milk in the fridge, and some sweeties on the table! Our visit fell during the heatwave so the property was really hot, but there were fans available for each bedroom which did help. Great value for money!"

Very good car parking. Overall an excellent 2 day visit and would highly recommend."

"I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free. "It was a nice enough hotel but I didn’t like the fact that you were charged for everything. The rooms were clean but fairly basically kitted out and for the luxury market they are aiming for they are slightly missing the beat. The service was ok but a little slow or not quite on the ball. Staff were friendly but temporarily lost an ice pack of mine, forgot my gluten free toast at breakfast and gave me a tiny tiny pot of tea that was half full for breakfast.
