- Stay cancellation guarantee for Lockdown = In the event that you have to cancel your stay due to lockdowns issued by governments in the 30 days prior to check-in due to the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic: national lockdown Italy; local lockdown in Italy concerning the area in which the booked villa is located ("red" area or impossible to reach due to official restrictions on free circulation); national lockdown of your country of residence; local lockdown in Italy in the Municipality or in the area of residence.

Masseria Muto presents itself as an oasis of beauty in the heart of Salento, where the countryside merges with the crystalline water of the Adriatic and Ionian seas. This old structure, built in the 17th and 18th centuries, was originally used as a hunting lodge by a local noble family. Recently subjected to a conservative restoration, it has maintained intact its original architectural features, helping to preserve its history and charm. Along the perimeter, the masseria is surrounded by characteristic dry stone walls; crossing the threshold, you will be greeted by the comfortable living area with its fascinating designer furnishings that combine tradition and innovation. The living room is the true heart of the house, leading to the kitchen and three double bedrooms. The living area is connected to the outside by two entrances characterised by stylish windows, one of which overlooks the swimming pool. The immediate outdoor areas are equipped with barbecue and dining area. The park is completed by the exclusive swimming pool, whirlpool tub and an innovative poolside gas fireplace. With its breathtaking landscapes, spectacular surrounding cliffs and the proximity to enchanting locations such as Gallipoli, Masseria Muto offers an authentic and unforgettable experience in Salento, amidst beaches, historical sites and renowned locations for exploring and enjoying gastronomic specialties and artistic treasures.
Interior:
The entrance to the house, on just one level, goes into the living room, furnished with a large sofa and dining table, that overlooks the swimming pool and the fully-equipped dining area. Adjacent is the small but well-equipped kitchen, completed by a characteristic ornamental fireplace. The sleeping area consists of two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower (accessible up a step and separated from the bedroom by curtains). The washing machine room is located outside, near the dining area.
Park:
The exterior of Masseria Muto is immersed in lush Mediterranean vegetation that embraces the house with approximately 1000 sqm of landscape characterised by a variety of plants that evoke the essence of Mediterranean nature. The property is completely fenced for maximum privacy and tranquillity for those who stay here. The driveway is adorned with lavender plants that give off a delicate, relaxing scent and climbing roses that add a romantic touch to the setting. This lush environment creates an atmosphere of tranquillity and serenity, inviting guests to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the surrounding nature. Fruit trees are a distinctive feature of the park of Masseria Muto. Fragrant medlar trees, with their intense green foliage and scented white flowers, provide juicy fruits of unique flavour during the season, and pomegranate trees add a touch of vitality and colour to the scenery. Following the drive that runs along the entire structure is the area dedicated to outdoor dining, covered by a functional reed canopy. This charming corner is the ideal spot for enjoying outdoor meals in a relaxing atmosphere, with a view of the adjacent swimming pool and the garden, made even more functional by the presence of the barbecue. The exterior is enriched by a seating area, located in a strategic corner in the immediate vicinity of the swimming pool, creating a cosy environment shaded by a sail. The garden is equipped with a convenient cold-water shower and a whirlpool tub for four people (unheated). The area around the pool is enriched by the presence of a designer gas fireplace made of steel and a panoramic window, a distinctive element of this house, perfect for creating a warm and cosy atmosphere during summer evenings. The garden of Masseria Muto is home to some sweet cats from the surrounding countryside, which our younger guests love to cuddle and look after. The property has an internal parking area as well as an external one for exclusive use.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool of Masseria Muto extends in front of the living area of the house. Rectangular and lined in PVC, it measures 10.5 x 3.5 m with a constant depth of 1.30 m and is purified with chlorine. Thanks to the twilight lights strategically placed around the pool that create an evocative atmosphere, it is possible to enjoy the pool even after sunset. The solarium area is equipped with sunbeds and an umbrella and is available from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.
