"The location was FABULOUS! We were 100 yards from the first tee of St. Andrews Old Course! We loved the place and staff, but the bed was stated on Orbitz as being king-sized and it was a double bed that was quite soft. "

"Haar Rooms were conveniently located to the St. Andrews Links courses. The staff was amazing and very welcoming. David in guest services is amazing and was a pleasure to have help out during my stay. I would come back in a heartbeat. No parking on site was a small deterent, yet there was parking up the side street near the Haar which was relatively easy to secure. "

"The hostess is a gem! The house is quaint and peaceful. Fabulous breakfast and I love the living room on the bottom floor.
Water pressure could be better, but that may just be an issue with the area so I wouldn't fault the propriator for that.
The twin mattress in the room was meant for a small child. It was not comfortable for a third adult, but the main mattress was great. Still five stars because the owner is so accommodating and the place is very nice. "

"Of the 4 hotels I stayed in in Scotland, this was the best. A short drive outside of St Andrews with rates a fraction of the cost of hotels in town. Parking on site was easy. On site restaurant was excellent. The fish and chips was the best I had in the country. Staff was amazing. Rooms were in excellent condition. Property was unique and looked like a small village. "
