"Rooms are large designed well. The breakfast area was perfect. Everything was so clean. The only thing I missed is you usually have some sort of hand lotion that was the only thing missing."

"The staff was negligent at best. It started when I called and was told that the staff would not help me because I booked my stay with Expedia. Once I arrived I was greeted pleasantly and informed where my room was located. During check in the lobby was full of children running around. I have children and was not concerned in the moment. "This was a choice after a concert we attended at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre which was like 10 minutes from this location. The shopping mall is 30 minutes, Yale is 20 minutes away also. Breakfast was good."

"I never thought a motel 6 could feel like home, but they’ve done it. The staff is so caring and is always going above and beyond to ensure my disabled mother and I are comfortable. I’d choose this place again in a heartbeat!"

"Beautiful and unique inn with great staff."

"Our family has been using American Inn in Branford, CT as a rest stop to visit my wife's mother in New Hampshire. It is a short trip (under 2 hours) to get a head start out of the New York metro area after evening rush hour. All rooms are accessed from the outside right in front of your parking space. They have two queen beds and rooms are always clean... and the price is right 😉 It is perfect for our trip!"

"We had two rooms and both stank of old cigarette smoke. And the bed in one of the rooms was made with dirty bed linens. When we asked for clean sheets we had to strip the bed ourselves and make the bed. We had to make a deposit of $50 for each room in case we smoked in the rooms, which seemed ridiculous given that the rooms already stank - and the windows couldn't be opened. "

"Everything was great- from staff to food to rooms"
