"** RENTER BEWARE **I originally rented the Bumble Bee Cottage from 1/28/26 through 1/31/26 (spoiler: I left 1/30 because of the nastiness described below). The cottage looked decent at first glance.I was tired from a long travel day, so I prepared for bed after eating dinner. When I went to pull back the comforter from the bed, I discovered first that the white pillows had VARIOUS TYPES OF HAIRS on the pillowcases and sheets! One pillowcase had a red stain. "Nice neighborhood and parking spaces were big enough for a truck. Property was well maintained and it had a big front porch if you like sitting drinking coffee in the morning. Was disappointed on the house being dirty when we arrived. Floors were dirty and felt sticky.Took my shoes off before entering and socks were covered in dirt just from walking around. Definitely able to hear the people in the upstairs unit when speaking or walking."

"The property was advertised as an oasis. While the beds were comfortable and overall the property was clean, on the Friday evening we arrived, the front and back yard were unmowed, and the lights in the dining room, kitchen and oven hood did not work. Several lamps throughout the property were missing light bulbs. A towel holder in the half bath was not secure to the wall. There were extra pillows but no extra pillow cases, there was a pile of laundry in the laundry room, the bottom fridge...

"I booked this location with the understanding that there were two beds. One bed in the den that was actually a closet. There wasnt much silverware, and coffee cups so we had to wash dishes. NO hand soap in the bathroom. And only TWO HORRIBLE PILLOWS ON THE BED. NO EXTRA ANYTHING. The bed was very comfortable, but I had to by pillows bc the ones provides were so thin. Extra linens and pillows would have been great. Also a bigger trash in the kitchen. A bath mat by the shower. And said...

"This home and host were top notch! The fenced back yard and the ice in the freezer were great perks! The host went out of her way to make sure we were happy and had what we needed. Great place to stay, close to everything!"

"Was just looking for a small place to crash at night as every day was filled with scheduled events and this place was perfect for that, from check in to checking out everything went smooth. If I ever go back to Peoria this is the place I’m checking for availability first."
