nice hotel
Very nice hotel with a good location. perhaps a bit overprized. staff was very friendly and the hotel clean but a bit wornout. the terrasse at the roof was divided in 2 and only one part was open in the afternoon/evening which was silly since it had a perfect view over colosseum from the closed part breakfast was okay but we didnt try the restaurant since there are a number of excellent restaurant in the neighbourhood. we will especially recommend the one located in capo de afrika street called "papagio" but also "naomachia" is worth a visit - (look for the locals there are also some very bad restaurants Touristtraps around) wifi at our room was perfect Enjoy :-)

Vi havde et godt ophold. Der er ikke tale om et luksus-hotel, men alt er rent, pænt og velfungerende - omend lidt slidt. Vi kommer gerne igen.

En god tur til Rom, men hotellet var ikke hvad vi havde forventet. Værelset var pænere på billedet end i virkeligheden og morgenmaden på hotellet som var med i prisen var skuffende da udvalget var meget begrænset og ønskede man feks.en omelet kostede det 7.5 euro som skulle betales ved siden af.

har boet på caponde africa tidligere hvor alt spillede, men denne gang har der ingen wifi, de fik det ikke til at virke hen over de dage vi var der, cyklerne vi låne var foade og kæderne hoppede af, vi spurgte i receptionen om de kunne bestille massage for os, han sagde det lykkedes ikke, men da hi selv ringede til det første (og andet sted iøvrigt) vi fandt via nettet havde de lasser af tider.....musikken på tagterassen gar også itu og jeg venter stadig på min faktura for opholdet som jeg ikke kunne få med fordi systemet har nede, men som de ville eftersende, mwn ikke har gjort.....rammerne er så fine og alt kunne hære fantastisk, men jeg oplevede virkelig afmatning denne gang teknisk og servicemæssigt.

El lugar está muy bien ubicado y de fácil acceso. Y la atención del personal es de primera. Nos ayudaron en a conseguir de inmediato de nuestra llegada los tours que necesitamos y siempre estuvieron atentos en todo. Hablas varios idiomas incluyendo español. Las amenidades fueron básicas pero suficientes y fue de muy buen gusto que su mini bar tenia un buen surtido de bebidas y botanas que en otros lugares suelen estar vacíos.

My friend and I had a great stay. Staff and services were amazing. Only complaint is the water at the front desk smelled and tasted so bad one of the day we were there. It literally smelled like poop/sewer.

The front desk was very friendly, helpful beyond belief and a pleasure to talk to. My wallet fell under the bed, I hadn’t noticed, and only when we were far onto our next destination did I notice they had been trying to reach me to tell me. They organized shipping it to me and I’m very grateful.

We stay there for 7 nights. I'm not sure why this hotel has such a high rating but our experience is definitely not as high as we expected. The hotel is a 3-star in disguise and it shows with the quality of the service they provide. When we first arrived outside the hotel gate with our suitcases, the receptionist saw us approaching, despite knowing there is a flight of stairs to climb in order to reach the lobby, she neither offered nor facilitated another employee to help us. Her attitude does not make you feel welcomed, and she even says "you're welcome" before you say "thank you." When you go in and out of the hotel, only occasionally the person at the bar would greet you, the people at the reception would literally pretend to be busy so they don't have to greet you when they see you coming. This hotel is also stingy AF, they only provide you 1 time free INSTANT coffee in your room. They provide you with so many mini-bar options that they can't even keep track of if you used any. I had to tell them that they placed an extra bottle of water and handed it back to the mini-bar person to avoid the charges, in the end, the reception still tried to charge me with it. Anyway, this is the most disappointing hotel experience I had in my Italy trip, especially after our wonderful time in Florence. By the way, ask them to change your room if it's on the first floor. It is really noisy and you get no privacy as it is next to a road in an area full of bars and restaurants.

I like the convenience of having complimentary bath soap, hand soap, lotion, shaving kit, cotton tipped swabs for cleaning my ears after showers, and makeup remover kits; the safe and quiet area; the cleanliness of the hotel, and that my linens and used towels were changed. One constructive feedback to hotel management: Please alert guests on your website/reservation website and at check-in of the following so that international travelers who may not be aware of your hotel’s or of Europe’s unique technologic regulations are not caught off-guard: 1) your hotel has safety technology that requires the electronic key card to always be inserted and stay inserted in the key card holder slot in each room not only for safet teasons but also to control the lights in the room; tell guests that lights will not turn on if this is not done; I was not told this latter part, so I had to ask how to turn lights on. because I forgot to put the key card in the key card holder slot; tell guest to remove and take the key card with them when they leave the room; 2) the electric outlets do not work if guests have only two-pronged plugs on their ekectronic devices; tell guests where to buy compatible adapters; 3) there are no irons. The things I did not like: No iron; the hotel was so old that the bathroom fan did not work, so the bathroom fogged up after showers. If I had had a longer stay, I would have said something to management, but my stay was only two nights, so I said nothing.

The room was beautiful, spacious, very modern, and had a very comfortable bed. The front desk and maintenance staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great, walking distance to restaurants and the Colosseum, Forum. A couple of lights didn’t work and maintenance had to come fix the TV connection, and our maintenance request was responded to quickly. I highly recommend this place and would stay there again.

Overall, the stay at this hotel was pretty average. The staff was pleasant to interact with and the bartender in the bar below was excellent. The rooms are comfortable with good bedding and pillows. It is on the quiet side and bit further away from some of the busier and exciting areas in town (spanish steps, etc). But is in a great location if you are looking for a place near the colosseum (six minute walk). House keeping did a good job of cleaning the room but the tea / coffee were not refilled regularly and neither was the body wash. The most disappointing part was the bathroom. We had two connecting rooms and the smaller bathroom had a shower area that was an extremely small enclosed square with no lighting. The bathroom smelled like mildew and it had a noticeably bad smell all the time. We developed an allergy after two days of staying there and when looking around we noticed that the bathroom had a lot of black mold on the ceiling of the shower area. It was not immediately noticeable as the shower area does not have any lights. We took a video of the same but not sure if we can share it in this review. To give the hotel credit they did “clean” the mold after we informed them of it but were not apologetic about it and almost seemed annoyed. Additionally, in the second bathroom the water did not flow in the sink smoothly and the sink would just fill up while using it. In summary, if not for the mold in the bathroom would probably have given it a 4 rating.
