"Stayed one night the Goshobo. Must say, they have very high standards of service, from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. As a same sex couple we felt very welcome.
We had the half board, and really enjoyed our meals. We also booked the private onsen for a fee, which was nice. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants tro try a traditional japanese hot spring ryokan."

My favorite hotel in Kobe - and I have tried many 3-5 star hotels in this area. Only drawback - no swimming pool. Everything else - great!"

The staff is very kind, warm and attentive, I was able to chat with many residents, each one nicer than the next. However, it is unfortunately very dissapointing to learn that the pool/spa is completely separated for men and women. That means you cannot enjoy the pool with the family.
Furthermore you must be completely naked - which is not suitable for many persons.

Det var lidt kaotisk, rigtig mange mennesker og meget børnevenlig/ amerikansk inspireret morgenmad. Det ville helt klart gøre hotellet lidt mere tjekket med en mere japansk morgenmadsbuffet. "

"The hotel feels very much like a hotel for business people of large groups of tourists. It’s a very big hotel and it doesn’t really have any nice vibe. We had booked early check in but the room was not ready and they still asked for the full price despite being 30 min late for a 2h early check in. The breakfast buffet was nothing special, and we had to wait in line to get a table one of the days. The location is great, next to the marked and fairly close to the metro. "
