Love the location! right across the street from the beach. Staff and security were all nice, friendly and very tentative. Will definitely go back.

All the workers were so polite and go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The location is very convenient. Definitely would recommend staying here if you ever get the chance!!

Mr Toucan is a fantastic hotel. It is a modern facility in aperfect location. The best part are the helpful staff. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. This hotel comes with breakfast and free drinking water. I will definitely stay there next time. While I didn't need it, it has free parking on premises.

Everything and everybody was wonderful! It's really nice that you are within walking distance to everything you might need or want. If needed, a cab is right there. This place is amazing!

Great Location BUT, Very Noisy
All in all Mr. Tucan is a decent hotel and a good value for someone looking to visit Roatan. The staff is great and the breakfast is really good, albeit limited choices. It can get really noisy though. I mean REALLY noisy. On Fridays and Saturdays it can go into the morning hours. The really nice open area on the 2nd floor is a nice place to sit and enjoy the view (great views from here). Again, some people use this area to stay up late and party till late into the night. We had a room in this area and it made it very difficult to get any sleep. People drink a little too much, laugh, cuss, and raise their voices to an extreme. It would be a good idea for there to be some kind of reasonable time to quiet down this area for the benefit of all guests. One last thing, the beds and pillows can be a little tough to get comfortable on for some. Other than that, the hotel has a great central location in West End with lots of eating and entertainment options.

This was the perfect place for us, only a two minute walk on the beach to Roatan Divers, our favorite dive center in Roatan. The staff at Mr. Tucan were wonderful. They were all helpful and friendly. We enjoyed getting to know some of them. Our room was just right for us with a nice view of the ocean. We are thankful for the housekeepers who did such a great job while we were there. We also ate a lot at the cafe and enjoyed the breakfasts and lunches. We really appreciated the free beach towel and chair use, and the bottled water! It was quiet at night and the beds and pillows were comfortable, which is a big deal for me. Next time we visit West End, we will definitely return to Mr. Tucan.

Friendly staff … especially David, he was above and beyond … and walked the extra mile to help & assist. Location is convenient and facilities comfortable. We would stay again there, and recommend this hotel.

Great little hotel, right on the Beach front Good rooms friendly personal always happy to help. Stayed there on a dive vacation and all dive shops are within 5 min walk.

First time going to Roatan and heard great things about Mr. Tucan hotel. The hotel is on the west end and it’s near a lot of very good restaurants/bars and about a 10 minute drive to west bay. The beach is literally right across the hotel. The staff were very accommodating. I told them my shower was leaking and that I didn’t have shower curtains, they fixed it in a short amount of time and also let me check out at 1 with no extra charge. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone vacationing in roatan.

This is a nice property for the money. It’s not the ritz Carlton but you are not paying ritz prices. The restaurant is great and the staff is very friendly. The shirts at the gift shop are some of the cheapest on the island.

From the time we flew in until the time we left, the staff was incredible! We arrived early, like around 0900, and they let us keep our bags in the reception area until we were able to check in at 1300. They helped get us in contact with Henry with the catamaran boat! I highly recommend him too! The rooms were clean, the food was good at the bean crazy for breakfast. Highly recommend!

Location was great. Beach is just across the street. Approximately 30 yards from the Hotel entrance. Great snorkeling from the Beach. Walking distance to shopping, West End restaurants, and water taxis. Nice roof top lounging area that has beachfront view with table and chairs, sofa and loungers. Nice area to meet and talk with other guests. Felt very safe here. Hotel has security. Would stay here again!

We stayed at Mr. Tucan during our 1st trip to Roatan. The staff was wonderful! Included in our stay was breakfast at the Coffee Bean which was great. During the weekend it gets pretty loud on the main road in front of the hotel but this didn’t bother us a bit as we enjoyed watching all of the festivities from the balcony. Our room was quaint, cool and very clean! We will ABSOLUTELY stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Mr. Tucan is the perfect place to get away for a Holiday. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Raquel at the reception from the day we checked in was very helpful and was always available to answer any questions we had. Anna at Bean Crazy treat it us like friends she make sure our breakfast was good and was always smiling and also help us with ideas on what to do on the island. Overall I am very satisfied with my vacation to Roatan and will definitely go back to this property.

Not solo traveler friendly
I had a solo stay for few days and can admit the unit I had was absolutely amazing …a lot of space and super clean unfortunately I was placed in the back by a construction site, so I walked out in the mornings to men sitting in front the porch area…there was non stop noise every day until I made a complaint …which was to hotel.com because the rep there told me I was placed in the back by construction because I booked online ….long story short they did offer to move me and did stop construction…..but it was super uncomfortable the remaining days and although the island was beautiful…it was dreadful going back to try’s hotel …I was delighted to leave …I just feel they should have said solo female…not a good idea putting her back there alone

The location is great somewhat noisy but we knew it was a popular spot the noise all dies down about midnight though so not too bad. I do recommend not booking excursions through the hotel as they are very expensive you’re better off booking directly through place where you want to go.

The bed was super comfortable and the room was great. One night was very quiet, but when people are hanging in the common space it can get very loud. There was something living in the wall/roof, maybe a mouse but I didnt see any. They dont have a shared kitchen to use, which could be useful. Overall I used the place only to sleep and had decent sleep

Yo estuve 8 dias en el hotel, 7 en la parte de arriba y 1 dia en una cabaña que tienen fuera del hotel ,queda en la parte de atras ,en el patio del hotel esa cabaña no es nada agradable no esta acondicionada para alquilarla ,pues la parte de atras esta en contruccion y abajo de la cabaña hay un generador enorme ,que si se va la energia electrica no dejaria dormir a ningun cliente ,el baño pequeño,la ducha manchada de pintura no habia donde poner el shampo el jabón , y la crema del cuerpo , el dormitorio queda en la parte de arriba ,la cama miy confortable pero es un atico y muchas veces me pegue en la cabeza de tan baja c que es la parte de los lados del atico, no habia un espejo,y no tenian caja de seguridad, y no habia wife .el costo de dicha cabaña esta entre $73.00 a $78 .00 No recuerdo exactamente cuanto me costo ,pero creo que no vale eso , pero lo que es en si el hotel es muy bueno ,aseado ,el restaurante muy buena comida y todo el personal muy atento el unico problema fue el haber aceptado .quedarme en esa cabaña por una noche ,pues no tenia otra opccion pues no gabian mas habitaciones dispinibles .que si me volveria a quedar en mr. Tucan? Claro que si pero jamas a esta cabaña .gracias David por ser tan arentos ,gracias a los chicos de la cafeteria son super atentos.

We stayed at Mr. Tucan for 12 nights and it was the perfect spot for us. Easy beach access just across the street and walkable to all West End shops and restaurants. Not to mention the complimentary breakfast was the perfect way to start each day! The staff at Mr. Tucan and Bean Crazy went out of their way to make our first visit to Roatan memorable and we would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and well staffed. Breakfast is very good. They have an awesome cafe dowstairs with the best rhum cake ever. There is a very nice beach right in front!!

We loved our stay at Mr Tucan. Its a great way to feel the vibe of the community. Great food at Bean Crazy & fantastic coffee!!! Beach right across the street and $5 water taxi to West Bay Beach which is breathtaking!! Fantastic food in the West End!! Fun bars, lively feel, great bands, met great new friends too 😊
