"There was no toilet paper on the holder in the bathroom. After a brief search I found a new roll and installed it on the holder myself. There was a Keurig coffee maker in the room, but no coffee. This is my third stay at this hotel and the second time there has been no coffee in the room. The first time I had to go to the front desk and ask for some, but this time I didn't realize it until the next morning, which was too late to bother with it."

"Mary and all the staff were amazing and helpful. From dinner suggestions, offering to loan a bicycle (which I used to ride to the piggly Wiggly for some provisions and to Ft Roanaoke to check that out), to happy hour wine and cheese we were super happy with our choice. Also it’s right next to the marina and we had our boat there. "

"This was in a very old house. Beautiful antiques inside. Very kind and hospitable post. She made a carrot cake that was absolutely amazing. We didn’t get to spend much time there as we were fishing early in the morning however, I would definitely recommend to stay. The beds are full-size but extremely comfortable."

"We had the best time staying on the Love Boat! Such a relaxing weekend. The weather was perfect! I read that the boat would lull you to sleep - it sure did! Best sleep in a long time! We ate at Stripers at the marina. Beautiful view and wonderful food. Make sure you visit Pirates Cove to see the fisherman bring in the Yellow-Fin Tuna. "
