"We stayed at the Dogwood Treehouse during the ice storm FERN in January of 2026. We knew going in that there was a chance we could get stuck, but we had been planning this trip for nearly a year and didn’t want to cancel. "Had a marvelous time on a long weekend. This was the perfect cozy place for a couples’ retreat. The house is very modern considering its history and age. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood just a couple blocks from Lake Tomahawk and all the activities available there. For walkers, it’s just 10-15 minutes from downtown. It’s an uphill walk for the first part, but so worth it when you don’t have to worry about parking! The upstairs bedroom is comfortable (VERY comfy bed!) with its own 1/2 bath....

"My husband, our dog and I spent a week in this wonderful, well appointed home located on picturesque property surrounded by massive Rhododendrons and moss & lichen-covered old hardwoods. There is a small, shallow creek in the backyard great for splashing around in the cool water. The hot tub was so relaxing.
