We were a family of 7 adults, 2 children & 4 dogs (age range 90 to 3). We had a great stay at Chalet Kudu over Christmas.
Smooth check in and clear guide on how to locate chalet, which was extremely useful. The hill leading up to the chalet is steep and we struggled in our 4x4 to park outside on the drive, you are better parking at the bottom of the hill and walking up.
There were a couple of issues on arrival:
- cleaning was poor on arrival, we found a bottle of half drunk water on side in tv room and bits stuffed behind the sofa (sofa could do with being replaced)
- the property was ridiculously hot on arrival, there is no facility to control the heating yourself.
- broken chopping board
- coat hanger broken in bedroom
- utensils dirty
- the drinks fridge appeared to be broken as you couldn't change the temp and it was too hot.
- we paid for a Christmas tree and put up ourself, the lights provided were insufficient so we put our own on.
We called Patrick (the resort manager) and he sent Edwin from the maintenance team over to resolve so no real issue and was resolved quickly.
The chalet is beautiful and the location is stunning! It has everything you need for your stay and we enjoyed a dip in the hot tub at the end of the day!
Would definitely recommend!
