Lake Metonga Cabin

Lake Metonga year-round cabin in Crandon, WI. The main floor is open concept living with beautiful custom beams on the Cathedral ceiling; old doors have been refurbished into barn doors on the cozy bedrooms; full kitchen with the island having a great view of Lake Metonga. Lower level has an additional sleeping area, full bath with family room having smart TV and fireplace. There is a pier for your boat and firepit that overlooks the lake for evening fires and cooking s'mores. Conveniently located near the public boat landing on the north end of Lake Metonga and within walking distance of the local drive-in and downtown Crandon. Lakeside deck for your morning coffee. There is WIFI, a fireplace and smart TV in both the living room and family room. Our guests have been successful fishing right off the pier and enjoying the many bike trails and nearby area fishing lakes. When the falls leaves begin to turn in September the color is brilliant in this area and Winter ice fishing is super. There are local hiking trails as well as ATV trails. We look forward to having you come visit us and relax for a few days. We can now comfortably sleep 6. Home has Central Air.

Very relaxing

We had a good time. Very nice pier and boat ramp was close by. The home is very spacious. Plenty of good food in townLog cabin cafe for breakfastBbq 3 times and pizza one from baked pizza very good Fishing wasn’t the greatest but we had a few storms go thry

Great visit

Really enjoyed our stay. It unfortunately rained quite a bit, so the provided wifi, a/c, and ample space was really appreciated for when we were stuck indoors.

Summer End

I took my son 17 and his Cousins to Lake Metonga and Crandon to enjoy a week of relaxation. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and so very clean very accommodating to anything you would need. Would love to stay again sometime.

Little piece of heaven

Our stay at the cottage was very nice! We enjoyed access to the brand new pier, fire pit every night and the amenities in the cottage. It was a little confusing on which building we were actually renting when we arrived. But Peggy was amazing and so accommodating. She was very responsive and we were sad to go.

family getaway

This place was a great place to stay, but there wasn't too much of a lake view. We were able to see a bit of the lake from the kitchen, but that's it and it didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. There was a great swimming area at the south end of the lake where we anchored our boat and the kids loved it. Also, plenty of space for water sports on the lake. Fishing was ok, but the weather was cool, rainy, and windy during our stay at the cabin. Overall, we all enjoyed our time at this place.

Disappointed with the accuracy of the listing

The cottage was very clean, newly remodeled, and very beautiful! We made the best of it and enjoyed our stay. The reason for the 3 star rating is we were very disappointed with the description of the property at the time of booking and would not have booked our stay had we known that there is another house directly between the cabin and lake. I think it needs to be said so others do not make the same mistake we did depending on what they are looking for. I would not consider this a cottage on the lake, it is a cottage with a pier and lake access, but the owner’s cabin is between this cabin and the lake. The advertised deck with lake views only has a lake view from one corner of the deck, the majority of the deck is blocked by the owners cabin, that is roughly 20 ft away and directly in between the deck and the cabin, as well as surrounded by the owners driveway, and they will and their guest will park their vehicles directly next to the deck. Additionally the ceiling in both main floor bedrooms is wide open to each bedroom, as well as the living room and kitchen (the wall separates the rooms but do not go all the way to the ceiling) this may be fine for some, but if you are planning on traveling with children who go to bed early, it may not be ideal to hang out in the living room and kitchen while they are sleeping. If these things that are not advertised in the listing do not bother you, it is an overall great place to stay!

Fabulous Cabin!

We loved our week at this cabin on Lake Metonga in Crandon! It is a beautiful place - VERY clean, new, decorated so cute, and so comfy! Our family felt it was a great space for us. Great amenities (nice beds, tons of space, clean and comfortable (furniture and beds, etc...) We would recommend this place to anyone! We truly appreciate the timely response from the owner (Peggy) with any questions we had. The only downfall is having a house between us and the lake but it totally worked out fine and we were able to access the water and dock easily and still had a view of the lake. We hope to be back soon! Thank you!

Charming Cabin

Stayed with Peggy for a work trip. We were the first visitors of the season so there were some very minor glitches (like resetting wifi router) and Peggy was super responsive and fixed it right away. Great little kitchen with 2 fridges, coffee station, great bedding, plenty of blankets and towels, AC kept us nice and cool, Smart TV with all the apps. Quality new couches and chairs with recliners, heat/massage! Can't say enough good things about her place. At checkout she was very interested to get our feedback and make any improvements for the future. I already have this place booked again this summer and look forward to staying with Peggy every summer!

We really enjoyed our stay and the cabin was beautiful! Neighbors were friendly. Close to town and the fishing was good! Would not hesitate to come back but would love to be able to bring our dogs 🐶

Awesome cabin!

Easy to rent process. Suggestion would be to provide a map of the property and features so we know where to go. We didn’t know exactly where to park and where our fire pit was or which pier we could fish from. We didn’t want to bother the owner but we know she would have helped us. This is NOT AT ALL a complaint but only a suggestion

Great little cabin

This cabin was beautiful. It was situated in an easy to find location. It was super clean, great furniture, plenty of room, recently renovated, every amenity we could need and much much more. The owners were very good at communicating and obviously put a lot of effort into their cabin. If I had to find anything to fault it would only be that there are no blinds or curtains in the main room which meant a little less privacy when leaving the shower to the bedrooms. But no one was ever present outside of the cabin so not a big deal. Overall I highly recommend this cabin
