Explore the beautiful region around Lake Balaton from Hortenzia Apartment. This duplex apartment sleeps 5 people in comfort and makes an ideal base for family or friends who want to get out into nature or onto the lake.

Access is through the garden and shaded terrace at the front of the house. Double glass doors open directly into the spacious living room, which is furnished with contemporary pieces including an L-shaped sofa, a desk for guests who need to work whilst they are on holiday and a flat-screen TV. There is a glass dining table and chairs next to a door which leads to the kitchen. The kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine and fridge/freezer.

The upper floor is reached via an outside staircase and consists of a separate studio apartment complete with a kitchenette with a cooker hob, oven, fridge and dining table. There is also a living room which contains a sofa bed and a flat-screen TV. French windows open from the living room to an upstairs balcony with a table and chairs, offering views over Lake Balaton.

There are two gardens, one at the front and one at the back of the property. Since it is built on a slope the back garden is higher and includes a small table and chairs where guests can enjoy a glass of excellent local wine. The front garden stretches down from the terrace and has 2 loungers for relaxing in the sun. The shaded front terrace is furnished with a table and chairs for meals al fresco looking out over the lake.

Bedroom 2: This bedroom features a sofa double bed.
Extra: The sofa in the downstairs living room converts into a single bed.

Bathroom 2: On the first floor, this bathroom has a full bath with a showerhead and a basin.
Extra: There is a separate WC on the first floor.

Location:
The residence is in an ideal location, in the village of Révfülöp, on the northern shores of Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe. The lake and surrounding area is packed with everything for an unforgettable holiday: water sports, beaches, vineyards, hiking and cycle routes. The famous cycle route around the whole of Lake Balaton means that there are many places that can be explored by bike. The house is walking distance from the beach (15 minutes), harbour (15 minutes), the fishing pier, shops and the Fülöp mountain lookout (15 minutes). Thanks to its mild climate the region enjoys around 2,000 hours of sunshine each year, which is the same as the French Riviera.

For self-catering the town market in Termeloi Piac (6 minutes) takes place every Wednesday and Saturday morning. Here you can find the freshest local ingredients to cook at home. There are also smaller grocery stores and a supermarket in the town.

The beautiful Tihany peninsula, known for its Benedictine abbey, stunning views and lavender fields is just 30 minutes along the lake shore. Alternatively, the vineyards of Badacsonytomaj are only 15 minutes in the other direction. On your doorstep you will find the Révfülöp outdoor cinema, which takes place during the summer season.

Budapest international airport is 2 hours 10 minutes away by car. Arriving by train? Révfülöp’s railway station is just 13 minutes walk from the house.
