"The room was very dusty. There was brick dust on the bathroom walls together with cobwebs. There was dust stacked on the hand basin waste and mould on the curtains. To get hot water to the basin you had to run the tap for at least 10 minutes and you could not get any hot water to the shower at all. The car park was a joke....7 or 8 spaces for a 40 room hotel."

After the first night we did have someone in the room - apparently to clean it… but the trash bag was left on the bed, the towels had not been replaced, and the desk has not been cleaned. "Was bigger we expected, Very clean throughout comfortable full size beds, cleaning equipment like hoover, brush, dishwasher, even a washing machine. Highly recommend."

"The room looked better than the photos online. It was spotless and everything was just right - the linens, the carpet, the water temperature in the shower. Sam was an amazing host - when there was an issue with the booking and I encountered issues trying to resolve it with the booking platform - she was helpful and reassuring. My stay was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious - loved the granary bread and I forgot to ask Sam about the coffee - exceptional blend, I want to buy some....

"If your looking for peaceful off the beaten track lodgings ,then this is the place for you. My wife and I have really enjoyed our stay here.The bungalow is well equiped with everything you need. The surrounding area is good for bird watchers with hedgerows,open fields and skies. Not too far (15 mins) is Barnaby sands marsh where we enjoyed long walks as far as Knott end and beyond. Gareth our host was very freindly and nothing was too much trouble. "

"We’ve just got back from a 7 night stay in the Lakeside Retreat. We had a great week in the well designed lodge. Pro’s:Very light and airy.Huge Hot Tub Plenty of towels provided!Washer and Dryer meant we didn’t have to lake as much and also meant we returned home with next to no washing to do.Lovely quiet park.The lodge was clean but also had a hoover and mop bucket in which meant we were able to keep it clean for the week we were there.2x Fans were provided which was great as these lodges...

"We chose this cottage primarily because it is accessible. Two of the three of us who stayed there are disabled. We were very pleased with the design, fixtures and fittings. The cottage itself is ideal and the location is excellent. The settees were a bit too low for people with limited mobility, but it isn't a major issue. "The property is located in the Lancashire countryside with walking from the doorstep and outdoor space including a large enclosed garden and a shared play area. We are regular Xmas visitors because the open plan ground floor with 2 seating areas the dining area and the kitchen makes a perfect location for our family get together. The cottage is well equipped, warm and roomy and the owners could not be more accommodating."
