"There were storms in the area, alot of people was without power so the hotel was slammed with people trying to check in, we saw 1 person working, she was getting frustrated cause so many people trying to check in and no one there to help her, luckily we got hecked in before it got so bad and didn' have to wait but about 10 minutes to check in but when we got to our room the remote for the tv was not in the room, we went back to the desk, she said the had some come in but would be about an hour...

"The pictures need to be updated. Not really what it is now. Needs some updating. Checking in was ok, very hard to understand front desk staff. Rooms ok but will not stay there again. Rooms do not have a full size refrigerator which when I am working need that for food."

"We needed a place to stay for Rock The South and came across this little cabin. It was just us girls so didnt need something massive. The cabin was cute and clean..We had no negatives at all.....But some FYIs if you stay....cell service was spotty and at the minimal, no internet (which we enjoyed the break) && be safe and drive a SUV or Truck its a couple miles back on a narrow dirt road that has a few washed out spots and can get muddy if it rains! Im glad we got there in the daylight because...

"If you are looking for a beautiful, wooded getaway with no other humans, this is it! A comfortable home with everything you need to cook, rest, and enjoy a break from your phone. Easy 1.5 hour drive from Birmingham Alabama. My family had a great time at the "secret beach"! I loved it as an adult, but my 7-year-old was absolutely enamored. I loved waking up to the view of the treetops from the master bedroom looking out on to the private balcony. Going to stay longer next time! "

"My family of 6 had a wonderful stay at this quaint little cabin style house! We enjoyed fishing and swimming off the dock. The Trident Marina is only a few minutes away for a quick bite to eat. The house was clean minus a few cob webs here and there and the sheets/towels were clean. However when we went to strip the sheets off the twin mattress the mattress cover looked like it had several stains on it. Overall we had an amazing time!"

"It was an average place. Nothing fancy. It is basically what you would think of as a cottage on a lake. Mismatched broken furniture. Dirty mattress on upstairs bunk bed. Didn’t see any bugs but I’m thinking I may have gotten head lice from the pillows. The skillets and stuff had to be scrubbed before we could use them. We did see some sort of water bug that’s to be expected on a lake. The internet is horrible I had to use my hotspot for a firestick on the tv. No one else’s phones would work on...
