"One of the oldest hotels in Launceston, with very friendly staff, who were eager to assist us. Our room was clean and suited our needs. Walking distance from many attractions in Launceston. "

"The hotel offers all basic services that you expect for a Best Western hotel: Large rooms, comfortable beds, breakfast buffet, wi-fi, and large TV screen (but almost no non-Australian channels). The hotel is a bit worn down, e.g., the bathrooms, and this negatively affects the price vs. quality. The staff might have been a bit more friendly. Most likely, I will not chose this hotel again."

"Excellent continental breakfast with lots of fruits. Building old and needs updating — shower water pressure, room carpets, elevator, street noise. Parking lot can get filled. Great location, though. A do-able stop, but nothing special."

"Overall, the new extension building housing the 4th floor rooms is a good place for business travel. The staffs are super helpful and friendly. Close to city, CBD area and main arterial roads. The rooms are tidy and since it is rather new comparing to the old wing, not much of smell or dampness, apart from some left over aroma from room service delivery in the elevator and hallway. "Everything was really dirty including the bathrooms - the room smelled moldy and was pretty damp (my bag and clothes still carry the smell). Would not recommend, it has potential but it is not a good place to stay at. "
