"We have a wonderful stay! The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The view was amazing. The condo above us was a little noisy when shuffling chairs around but that would be my only complaint. Very happy with our stay!!"

"Wonderful stay. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen, lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans (one thing I would suggest is a new can opener the one there does not work well). Beds were comfortable. The host was very accommodating (we locked the keys in the house and she responded to us right away). Would stay there again. Went to pocosin nature preserve to photograph the tundra swans. Drove to pea island for more photography. Excellent trip."

"Excellent host, great location for Pungo Lake birding. A few suggestions: hot water in downstairs bathrooms takes a long time to show up. Also, consider removing throw rigs for safety reasons. Too slick/dangerous. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to return for another visit. MCS"

"Greatly enjoyed our stay here for a week in February. The house was home base for us as we visited the three nearby National Wildlife Refuges. House was very clean and stocked with all essentials. Clear communications with the host added to the positive experience. Was third winter we have visited Albemarle/Pamlico peninsula to view wildlife. When we return, we will definitely try and book this lodging again."

"Great place and perfect for a guy to get away from it all, or take all the wildlife found in this area. Well-located near Phelps Lake and the Pungo Unit. It is isolated, so a visit to the grocery store on the way in will save you time if you think you will be going out for groceries later. I thoroughly enjoyed Birthday House. The host was very responsive, and the amenities were great. "
