"The people at sol del oriente are some of the kindest staff ive ever met. They were super punctual and always happy to lend a helping hand. Big shoutout to darlene and juan-carlos for their hospitality! The only cons I have are of the room, the rooms are definitely showing ageing and water pressure and water temperature were an issue. However, at the end of the day, the room was still fairly comfortable and very affordable. Absolutely amazing proximity to wanchaq station."

"The location of the hotel is quite close to the airport in what i would call a mix between an industrial and poor part of the town. The walls are very thin which is not only expressed by the trucks driving by around the clock, but also by the guests and personal in the hotel. It seems like there are no limit to the noise allowed here, as we were woken up 2 am, 3 am and 4.30 am by people shouting repeatedly in the hallways, music being played and what could be assumed was people dragging...

"Very friendly and service minded staff. I needed to bath my foot every day and they willingly found a bucket and brought boiling water to the room every night. The hotel is generally a bit cold. However, it did have hot water in the shower, which has not been a given at the hotels we have stayed at in Peru. The kitchen chef was also very nice and prepared freshly cut fruit for us upon her own suggestion. It is a 7-10 minute Uber ride away from the historical center, which cost 8 soles when we visited. "
