"We had a wonderful time, the host was very helpful and friendly. The view of the Lake was beautiful and the many visits to the Golden State Park and Marina were enjoyed by myself and the dogs. We also visited the Yates Town Park which was just down the road a short drive. My husband and son went fishing and came back to a warm and cozy cottage! We loved it!!!"

"Met or even exceed my family's expectations to say the very least. Hav been going to NY from NC every year to a lake cottage since 1995 and this was the best one yet for families. All our friends & family that still live there wanted the info for this place in fact. Very well stocked with every day things from the start, didn't have to make an emergency run to the store. Thank you for the memories.... and don't bring your own games with you. Plenty of them there for all ages !"

"POOL IS CLOSED INDEFINITELY, but still advertising. This place should be condemned. It was deplorable. It stunk, there was garbage outside of people's rooms for who knows how long and w/in eye's view in main areas. The lobby was a ghost town and poorly lit. We checked out less than an hour after checking in even though I could not get a refund and stayed at the Best Western."

"We arrived around 8:30, traveling back to WV. The lady at the front desk was very wonderful, the pool was warm. Comfortable beds, air conditioning was great."

"Be prepared to do a lot of walking. The parking lot is across the street if you are lucky enough to get a spot there. They have valet parking on the other end of the building, but that makes your walk twice as long. The hotel registration desk is on the second floor so if you have baggage, you have to take this very compact elevator to get there. After checking in, you have a long walk to the next elevator to get you to your room. Be prepared to get bounced around in that elevator. They have a...

"Red Roofs can vary but this one is super nice. It is not a drive up motel like some of them, but they have dollies to help bring in your stuff. Very clean and comfortable. Seems like it was maybe recently renovated. Good location. Would not hesitate to stay there again."

"This is a classic case of you get what you pay for! It’s a roof over your head along with air conditioning that rocked!!! Nothing else was even sub-par. Nicole and Loretta from housekeeping were amazing! Very run down building. After extending my stay several times, they chose to tell me 2:00 that they needed me out by 3:00 the same day. Apparently they were booked solid for the weekend, but very unprofessional to do it how they did."
