"This place is gorgeous. It’s a mid century hotel with rustic touches. Very inviting, very relaxing. Takes you back to calmer easier times. Huge great room with lots of windows, a fireplace and a bar. Large deck has rocking chairs, a fire pit and quite the view, it overlooks 5 states. The new owner was on site and he’s proud of what he has there as he should be, I’ve been all over this country and never been to such a relaxing place. "I was only here for 1 night but it was a lovely experience. The staff is very nice and answered all my curious questions, the VIEW is one of the best you’ll find in the Catskills. "Black Bear lodge is a great getaway and excellent base to explore the area as it’s so central. We had excellent communication ahead of our check in, a real warm welcome and helpful with dining tips.
