"The stay was pretty good as the staff was quite nice and friendly however there were some things that could have been improved. First of all the milk in our fridge was more than a month old (from bbf.). Secondly the it was extremely hot in the Deluxe cabin that we stayed in. There is no AC only a small inefficient fan. On a positive note there are great food and drink options on site. Overall an acceptable stay with some long warm nights."

"Everything about this hotel is a gold star, despite the bathrooms being slightly outdated and the road to get there semi isolated for food options. This is a great place for a night or even a week! The staff were friendly, and so were the ducks and eels! We were fortunate to see the lunar eclipse right from their hand built trail, and only wish we could have stayed longer. "

"The unit was musty when we arrived. Had to open all doors and windows to get fresh air in the room, looking back we should have gone to management and swapped rooms. Signs of mould on ceilings. Mattress is that springy it sags in the middle. Would not stay there again. Room number 2."

"The staff were wonderful. We were late in arriving but staff made the check-in process smooth and easy. We were in unit 1 which has a view of the bay and a wonderful outside sitting area with a bbq. Linens were nice and beds comfortable. The heat pump worked well when we needed air conditioning or heat. The staff were very helpful during an unusual heavy rainfall event to make sure we were safe and had everything we needed. We would stay again if we are back in the area. Hot water beach and...

"Camping in a really lovely setting, next to the beach. The camp site is a low-key place with a central court with a playground and stalls serving tasty burgers and pizzas. There are different forms of accommodation, from simple tent areas, camper vans, little cabins to ocean front villas. The cabins are basic, but adequate. Numbers 1-7 and 8-9 are each joined together with a footpath, so little privacy and some noise, especially if your neighbours (like ours were) are groups of school kids. "

"Well maintained property, close to Tairua town. The one bedroom unit had all amenities needed for a 3 night stay. Owner is friendly and communicative. We also got to use the bikes for free and I believe t hey also let you use kayaks for free. "
