"The hotel and room were clean, the key code worked perfectly, parking was a breeze, and there's a Dollar General right across the street (in case you've forgotten anything). But....the room stays pretty dark (dark walls and poor lighting). The floor is very uneven, making it feel like you're a little drunk when you walk on it. There's a microwave down the hall, but having one in the room would be a LOT more convenient. But, in our opinion, the biggest issue is the slippery bathroom (and shower)...

"Room was clean and checkin was smooth The hotel was dark and had an odor. Breakfast was minimal. Beds were springy and not super comfortable. Ok stay for one night stop over on our road trip."

"This is a very unique, historic hotel overlooking the scenic banks of the Ohio River. The room was cozy, clean and very comfortable. I also appreciated the second-floor balcony, which provided a lovely view of the river, as well as the complementary tea/coffee supplies. I highly recommend this traditional hotel, especially for history lovers and explorers in search of memorable experiences!"

"The cabin was perfect: remote location, clean, warm and cozy. The trails in the woods were a great escape and quite extensive and a fantastic sniff haven for a dog to explore. "

"The cabin was really great; clean, comfortable, private, check-in and check-out were hassle-free, communication was done via text and she was easygoing. We didn't realize the loft had a lower ceiling so our teens had to duck when walking but they could sit comfortably on the beds. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!"

"The place was beautiful and well kept. Reasonably remote, you'll hear some lawnmowers but you won't see a neighbor unless you're actively trying to. Saw a lot of wildlife, rabbits, deer, butterflies. Electric, AC and gas were reliable and worked great. Wood stove looked so cozy, almost wish we didn't come during a heat wave so we could have enjoyed it. Wifi is spotty, so don't forget your LotR box set like I did, but to me thats more of a bonus amenity then a requirement for a remote...
