"Absolutely amazing! The best hotel ever! Traveling with my family and we had concerns about the “option free clothing”-pool, but it’s on the other side of the road and you can choose to go or not. Everybody’s so kind and welcoming."

"Cottages by the Sea er en fantastisk lille perle på en fantastisk strand lidt uden for Frederiksted. Byen synes sovende, pittoresk med både istandsatte bygninger og forfaldne huse. Bygninger der går tilbage til kolonitiden og den gamle danske lutheranske kirke med få gamle gravsted med danske navne bl.a.Frederik von Scholten. Eneste mangel er indkøbsmulighed på stedet. Der skal køres efter dagligvarer."

"Personalet meget venlige. Masser af ting der kunne lånes til snorkling, kano, rigeligt med solsenge. 3 gasgrill. Vi lavede mad hjemme de fleste dage da det kostede spidsen af en jetjager at spise ude. Regn med 45 dollars pr næse incl drikkevarer. Øen virker fattig og vedligeholdelsen bærer præg af det. Stranden er dog fantastisk. Det gør indtryk at se de gamle fort, men de er saneringsmodne. "

"This unit is a large one bedroom with a tremendous balcony looking over the beach and ocean (top floor). From my experience, this unit is unique in a couple of different ways. First, every room has a view. You can watch the sunset from your bedroom and in the morning watch the sunrise from your shower. "I’d highly recommend this rental. The views are immaculate, easy of access to the beach is the easiest one could ask for. The beach was perfect mix of pure sand and big rocks to break the waves and provide a peaceful spot to sit on the beach. "This is the 3rd condo we've stayed at in this small (18 units) complex called Harbour Beach Village. It is a second floor corner unit and without a doubt the best one we've stayed in. We are booked again in 2026. The 4 stars for cleanliness were because we observed several areas that could have been cleaned better. We provided feedback to the Host, Theo and he was glad to receive the information. The pictures on the HBV website definitely convey the interior of the unit."

"All was even better than advertised! The condo, grounds, pool and gazebo were excellent- clean and well taken care of. Although we packed beach chairs, a cooler and a sun canopy we didn’t need them at all- they were all provided. The snorkeling just out the back door was super. The view overlooking the Caribbean was stunning. The washer/dryer were a bonus. The host and manager were responsive and friendly. We also enjoyed being within walking distance of town and the pier. This place is a gem! "

"The rooms look exactly like the pictures. The staff is so sweet and accommodating! I loved everything about my stay and would definitely come back. The only issue is it’s far away from everything but if you rent a car that solves that problem. We choose not to and the staff gave us a variety of cab services in the area which were also extremely nice and pleasant. It was amazing. "

"The Palms is a clean hotel located right on the Caribbean not too far from Christiansted. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel has some extra features like free snorkling equipment. Two special things characterize the hotel: extremely friendly management and staff who go out of their way to help you and a lot of arranged activities. You get the feeling that this is more than a hotel, but also a gathering place for many on and off the island."

But not easy to do on your own. Strong currents, high waves and rip tides makes a dangerous cocktail. But with Mitch and Chuck as tourguides you are in good and safe hands.
